Re: Do you have a working autnomous mode?
We have several, some we used at the Boilermaker, some we will use at Midwest and some we may wait until Nationals to unleash. (Al snickers in the background as he presses the submit button.)

Re: Do you have a working autnomous mode?
We hardly had any time to code except for at the regionals, but we managed to write two auton programs with another switch for which side of the field. One turrets and knocks the hanging one (we found turreting was best because if you just set the robot facing the right direction, then it wastes valuable seconds when the drivers have to straighten it back out), adn the other will drop the tetra we are holding into the center goal and then turret and knock down the hanging.

Re: Do you have a working autnomous mode?
what we do is knock down the hanging tetra and then go to the auto loader and pick up a tetra. hahahahahaha worked 9 out of 10 times.

Re: Do you have a working autnomous mode?
Cyber Blue's autonomous knocks down the hanging tetra from the goal. It is accurate, I would say, upwards of 100 percent of the time.

Re: Do you have a working autnomous mode?
Team 1251, The Techtigers have 3 programs and they all work 100% of the time. For some reason we always use the same one since it seems to be the one that fits our strategie the best.

Re: Do you have a working autnomous mode?
Other: Our autonomous is now working perfectly, but isn't supposed to cap. ;)
(Of course, we don't have anything until Kettering Kickoff) |
Re: Do you have a working autnomous mode?
We knock down a tetra and then drive out and turn toward either the human loading zone or auto loading zone. Depending on which side we start on.
|
Re: Do you have a working autnomous mode?
we actually only have one code. interestingly enough, we programmed it only for the vision tetra. so much for creativity, but it makes up for the fact that we dont cap every time.

Re: Do you have a working autnomous mode?
We had one code to start holding the tetra in any starting position and cap it on the goal. If it was either side goal, the hanging one would be knocked down too. It was done all with the arm, no driving required. It worked every time except once.

Re: Do you have a working autnomous mode?
Team 11 starts with the given tetra, turns and places it on any of the home goals. If it is placed on a side one the hanging tetra falls. We got this to work in competition about 5 out of 6 times.

Re: Do you have a working autnomous mode?
Our robot can knock the hanging tetra down from either side 100% of the time with the same code.
GO 1403!!! |
Re: Do you have a working autnomous mode?
We had one program to knock down the left side hanging tetra. It didn't work at first on the practice day, but they got it eventually, and it worked every time after that.
I had thought they were kidding when they said they were going to drive it so the arm was inside the goal and then make the robot "throw a tantrum," but that's pretty much what we did. It twisted 2 or 3 times inside, then backed out. Our arm folds up easily, so we couldn't bring it down on top of the tetra, it didn't have enough resistance to knock it down. Once, we placed the robot too far to one side, and it didn't hit the tetra on the first pass(groans from everyone). On the second time through, it hit it and caught it. I didn't notice until we started moving and we had a tetra on our arm. :) |
Re: Do you have a working autnomous mode?
Our coach wound up putting together some code to knock off the hanging tetra. Thanks to dead reckoning, he plugged in some random numbers.
And those numbers worked the first time, and every other time--so long as we aimed it right. |
Re: Do you have a working autnomous mode?
1089 likes to start with a tetra, knock down the hanging tetra closest to us, and then head for the center goal. when autonomous ends we can cap the center goal in no time. it's been successful most of the time, and i'm pretty sure it will continue to be.

Re: Do you have a working autnomous mode?
we have 2 autonomous modes, one places a tetra on the center goal and uses this specially designed whacker, (old broom stick handle), to knock down the hanging tetra on the side. this works from either side.
the other one... well you'll just have to wait untill Atlanta to see it go! look for either team 1114, 1503, or 1680, we all have the same bot, and code. |
