Special button teaser...
 

At the button making party at my house last night, I presented everyone with four button designs, and they voted on which one we would actually turn into a button. But these designs were not for our team button, which was designed by Kyle, our team captain. These designs were for a button that team 116 likes to give out in recognition of people showing the true spirit of FIRST... and other such things...

While I cannot show you the final button design, I can show you two of the rejected designs (the third design may be put to use elsewhere, so it will remain a secret at this time).

I lost my "Dave Says That's Pimp" button that Wetzel gave me at nats last year :(

yea Hedi Im gonna need a new Dave Says thats Pimp button, and i willing to bearhug anyone to get it (including the pimp himself Mr Lavery despite his warnings about not being able to goto blockbuster and renting movies or somthing like that )

There is also a VERY limited (12) run of special Heidi buttons.

And only 12 shall ever be made as they used my computer to make the buttons and left the design there, silly pups! Shift-delete is your friend. :p

And of the twelve made, they left 6 here, so only 6 are in circulation.

Heidi - You underestimate the ability of our team. They could make more if they wanted. But don't you feel good that your buttons will be harder to get and possibly have a higher value to button collectors?

You're killing me here, Tyler. We need some teaser images, blurry, mutilated, or otherwise.

I mean, c'mon, there's only been one photoshopping of Heidi that I know of. So it's really an unknown art form.

Billfred, I have nothing to do with the Heidi buttons. I had no idea about it until my brother posted here. I have yet to see it too! I can only hope it is better than Dave's somewhat poor photoshop job (he needs to stick to animating games...not photoshopping poeple). I will get to see it this coming weekend though. I also hope there is a snazy phrase like the "Dave says thats pimp" phrase.

I like the pose on 1 better than 4. But I like the facial expression on 4 better than 1.
That's a tough decision. But either one will work out great.
There's only going to be 6 in circulation? Wow, anybody who owns one and is willing to give it up should auction it off! What a great team fundraiser. =P

Either one of those two photos would work, but neither of them are being used. And the buttons of which there will only be six of are the Heidi buttons, not the Dave buttons.

But of course, its gonna be hard to win those from us, cus not only are they rare, but they are more or less badges of honor. Once you see the quote on them youll understand.
As for the "Dave buttons", they are definately even better than teh 2 rejected ones. Why do you think they were rejected? :yikes:

I WANT!!!!!!!!!! Do you guys by any chance go to the Pittburgh or Cleveleand regionals? I really gotta have one of those. I'll do anything. I've been known to do some crazy things.

For anyone who either wasnt at the VCU regional or didnt see Wetzel's buttons, he was wearing the new "Dave button". Of course it was totally covered in tape and has "SECRET" written on it. :p
Just wait until Annapolis for the unveiling of the new button. The Heidi button was on 3 of us 116s in VCU though, perfectly able to be seen if anyone did.

Seen is fine, but on behalf of all of us that weren't there, I'll ask the question...was it perfectly able to be photographed such that the task was performed successfully? :D

They were perfectly able to be photographed....but I do not think that anyone attempted a picture of one. Maybe Wetzel or Sean will take a picture to post.
