Streamlining of a competition handout... Now our buttons/badges can have friends.
Ever notice how a few teams have those awesome trading cards? Remember when dedicated members of Team 811 attempted to create unique trading card for each team in Atlanta during the 2004 Championship competition? Well, using this program (Written by me of Team 811), you can crank out your very own Trading Cards! Simply use the program, bring the resulting Bitmap files to a print shop, and in no time you'll have cool-looking trading cards!
NOTE: .NET Framework is required to run this program. It's included in the .zip to make life that much easier. http://www.n1zyy.com/autocard-download Please make sure to look over the ReadMe. If you find any glaring bugs that aren't mentioned in the ReadMe, please post them here. Please keep in mind that this program is still in its beta stages, since I just started writing it on Friday. Enjoy the fruit of my labor, Scali of Team 811. |
Re: Automated Trading Card Program from Team 811
I apologize for the corrupt .zip, I'm trying to upload it again using a different FTP client... I don't trust the first one I was using... It should be done in about 5-10 minutes.
EDIT: And it's good. Once again, sorry for the corrupt .zip, a bad FTP client is to blame. Enjoy the program. |
Re: Automated Trading Card Program from Team 811
Update: I've added .jpg support for the robot picture reader. It also now supports any valid bitmap you throw at it.
It's currently uploading, it should be done in about 10 minutes. Enjoy! |
Re: Automated Trading Card Program from Team 811
Sorry guys, I had to kill the download because I'm now 15 gigs over my bandwidth limit... (all in one day... sweet).
So I'm gonna find a better host for it... shouldn't take too long. |
Re: Automated Trading Card Program from Team 811
save it as a .jpg and host on imageshack. :/

Re: Automated Trading Card Program from Team 811
It's a program, not an image =P
That, and if I were to just rename the .zip, a lot of people would get confused and I would get flooded with "HOW DO I FIX THIS?!" Not fun. |
Re: Automated Trading Card Program from Team 811
We're Back!
http://first.bghs.org/Public%20Docum...ageView=Shared enjoy! Also, I'm rewriting most of the program to make it more efficient and make the cards more customizable. Expect a major rehaul of the program between the Granite State Regionals (translation: After this weekend) and the Championship event. I'll keep you all posted. After next year's kickoff, I'll provide an update package that will basically update the files to apply for the new game, as soon as I can get a real page put together for this program. Make sure to bring me some of your cards if you're gonna be at the Verizon Center later this week! I'll be tough to miss (I'll be in the bright yellow 811 garb with a giant sombrero). Enjoy, Scali |
Re: Automated Trading Card Program from Team 811
We are getting an error message that says:
This file contains invalid data. Any ideas? Thanks |
Re: Automated Trading Card Program from Team 811
What file? Are you using a standard jpg or bmp? Upload the file, lemme take a look at it.

Re: Automated Trading Card Program from Team 811
I am getting an error when I try to install it. I updated my .NET framework to 1.1 and then I downloaded the .exe. After that I double clicked the .exe to install the program but I get an error saying "This file contains invalid data."
