If Steve or anyone has proof of this MORE than 128 score set by our wonderful alliance. Could you please post it so we can see! That'd be amazing if it's true :ahh:. Can't wait to see you all in Atlanta, let's try to set some new records for this year ;)

Re: 05 World Wide High Scores

Just curious, what was the highest score that a robot got by itself. Not as in they were the only one that scored that match, but just how much they scored by stacking their tetras? My team (the dump-truck of the Peachtree Regionals) got about 37 once.

Re: 05 World Wide High Scores

i remember being at the peachtree regional and watching th dump truck as scott calls it just rack up points... i believe at one time they had scored at least 36-39 points by themselves :ahh: i can tell you what, peachtree didn't have that many high scores

Re: 05 World Wide High Scores

So is 128 the highest score or does Steve know of a higher score?

Re: 05 World Wide High Scores

I was informed of a 132 . I believe that there was a 129 but again not positive. The info I am giving is from Eric who was doing the scoring system in Detroit. I personally haven't seen a higher score. Post 100 has the same info but no proof.
I know that I saw a 121 in elims at Detroit.

As far as I have seen the 128 is currently the only one with proof of existence floating around. And the 121 was set at the Elims of Chesapeake. MMMMM I can taste the KK's from Dave Lavery now.

Re: 05 World Wide High Scores

Yeah I am pretty sure the only confirmed scores are the 128 in Canada and the 121 at the Chesapeake.

Does anyone know if those Canadian points had to go throw some exchange rate to be counted in the US? (My team was laughing about this the other night, maybe the Canadian point is different than American points, lol)

See everyone in Atlanta!

Just a side note, my team, 1279 and our alliance of 375 and 103 managed to beat this 100-pt alliance and won the regional

correction team 1403 capped a corner goal with 5 seconds left taking away 30 points from our score. i guess it woulda been a 130 had they not capped that goal. dont forget philly we scored a 104 and 110 with 365 and 316 great job guys

Heh, sorry about that. Couldn't let things get too embarrasing for us. You guys rocked at NJ, but we have gotten better. I look forward to a rematch in Atlanta.

GO 1403!!!

Re: 05 World Wide High Scores

Hi,

I just figure, I would finish up this forum. No one has actually posted the final world wide high score. Since I am very proud of our accoplishment, I will be happy to post it. The 2005 champs, teams: 330, 67, 503, put up a ton of tetras, and owned every single goal. We have the highest scoring round for the season at a big 132 :ahh: points. It was a crazy match, and I didn't know we had done it until after we started seeing who won. I was like, we got that row, and that row. And um, we have all the rows. The final score was 132-44. Look it up on the FIRST website, and watch the replay on soap108.com. It is the qf3-2. See it for yourself.

Bhop

Re: 05 World Wide High Scores

OK,
we'll concede that a score of 132 in the US beats a score of 128 in Canada (LOL).

However, a couple of comments:
1) At the Toronto regional, we were partnered with #1114 and #1305 and won the first quarterfinal match against #1053, #1334, and #1392 with a score of 128 to "NILL". And, it's not to say that the blue alliance lost by playing dead. It was a truly amazing match as was your 132-point match. We'll likely find and post the video to our web site at www.penfieldrobotics.com.

2) BUT....just remember that FIRST is NOT about the robot!

Cheers to all teams; what an amazing year for a new TriplePlay game.
