They also announced at our regional that Hammond scored a 132, so I'm pretty sure that's national high.

[edit] -- I heard this was "announced" through word of mouth, so I really posted it here in hopes of some kind of conformation? Does anyone know?

2005 - Detriot Regional Winners -- With 217 and 301
2005 - Sacremento Regional Winners -- With 766 and 1072\

[edit] : PS, I want some KKD too.

Here's a sweet photo from the Detroit Regional. Can I get my KKD in Atlanta?

To add to it out alliance of us, RAGE, and Area 53 won the Chesapeake Regional without losing in the Elimination Playoffs.

But what is up with this high score in Hammond, where is that? Can anyone verify???

haha yup us here on Team 1027 are very happy with the way things went with winning the Chesapeake Regional with 173 and 53. and the result of that is going to the Nationals and getting our Krispie Kream donuts!
:D

sorry we had to get the 121 against you guys dave. it was sorta unfair being you guys were the only ones that did anything. thanks for your help and see ya at the nationals!

hmm 121...Rhode Warriors....dun dun dun

Congrats. to all of you guys, that was an unbelievable match. After they promised Krispy Kreams, someone just had to beat 120! So how are the three teams planning on dividing up that one steak dinner? :)

I know this isn't technically scored, but in Denver the alliance of 118, 233, and 935 during both of their practice matches together had tetras stacked and owned every goal. During our second match, we had 11 stacked tetras, 2 tetras underneath goals, 8 triple plays and all 3 robots back in the starting zone. That gives us 33 + 2 + 80 + 10 = 125 points. Granted, there weren''t any penalties given, but I don't remember any that would have been given. I think that could quite possibly be the high score, but I haven't read this thread lately. Just thought I would let ya'll know.

At the NJ Regional in trenton, the #1 alliance, consisting of team 56 and two other really good ones, capped ALL NINE TETRAS and won the match by a score of 100 to 9.
Just a side note, my team, 1279 and our alliance of 375 and 103 managed to beat this 100-pt alliance and won the regional

I saw a good match on a webcast today, about the second match that I was watching, the famous Cheesy Poofs 254 and two other robots alliances, whose the team numbers escape me but both of them were good too, went crazy on the field scoring 114 while the opposing alliance got 13. They didn't get behind the line or they would of had 124.. that would have been cool. San Jose is probaly going to the Cheesy Poofs yet again.

It's not important to win with 100 pts when your opponents only have 9.

I'd take a 50-49 win any day. Or something along those lines :)

We were one of the members of the losing alliance in that match. Not a bad score to lose by though.

True, but I'd take a 100-9 win over a 49-50 loss ;) In my mind, you should try to win by a comfortable margin. Ranking points aren't quite the all-powerful number that QP's were before 2004. If the choice is a runaway win or a close loss, the win is far more important. 9 RP's won't hurt you as much as a 0 for the loss.

I just got back from Buckeye Regional 2005. Our team held the high score at 108 until team 279/67/264 scored 116 points during one of the finals matches. They controlled all nine goals. it was fun just to watch.

The final score was 116 - 17

This was actually the second regional that a 279-67 alliance has set the regional high score for. The last one was at GLR which was no where near as high with a 74. I dunno if that says anything about Buckeye, but to me it seemed like that 116 match was a very nice, almost all offensive match which I prefer to a very defensive match. For anyone that saw the finals there, there was a lot of defense that went a little too far beyond what should be expected.

Edit: and the correct third alliance partner is 274.
