No Negative Scores?

I was watching the VCU webcast, and noticed that the scoring software doesn't seem to be able to record negative scores. In one match, both alliances had 4 points and a ten point penalty, but the final score showed up as 0-0. Is there something in the rules that I am missing?

It was in an update that I don't have handy. There will be no negative scores.

In the likely case that any alliance who commits one or more penalties will receive negative RP, will the winning alliance receive negative RP as well? It seems unfair to punish one team for disproportionate penalties accrued by another.

See #1504. Individual match scores cannot be less than zero.

Thank goodness. Quite a few teams would have had negative points at BAE. We had enough teams getting zeroes as is.
