Team 614's website

http://www.hayfieldrobotics.us

Most of it isn't up, except the forum (nonpublic due to the insistence of other team members), due to rewriting the backend, and the difficulty caused by attending a different school than the rest of the team members.

It uses mod_rewrite to rewrite URLs like "/pgs/news" to index.php?pg=news, which index.php interprets and uses to read files that contain parameters and contents which are passed to the templating engine.

Layout is entirely CSS based, which does have the disadvantage of choking on older browsers or very low resolutions.

The output is XHTML 1.0 compliant, and sends appropriate content types to various browsers (text/html to neutered browsers like IE6 and application/xhtml+xml to Mozilla/Opera/etc.).

Total overkill for a site that only has 4 pages currently :p . Whole thing weighs in at 232kB.
