Need Video-Sac Regional

Hey everyone!

If anyone has a video of the tripping incident involving a the freshman on my team, could you pm me and let me know! We have plans for any video we can get.

That was pretty funny, and just to let you know, he's fine.

That was hillarious!!!

A couple of guys on our team video taped that and we watched it all night. It never got old. :D I liked when the second time your team went down, a couple of guys lifted him over it.

I'll tell my teamates that you requested that video, they might even post it on chiefdelphi (if they can).

Let that Freshman know that he provided us with hours of entertainment.

Hope to see you guys back next year.

Team 245 would also love video from Sacramento, not so much your teammate tripping (although that was funny), but more so of the final matches to play in school.

we showed a ivdeo at our school today as well, um we might be able tos end it its game one of finals. I didnt record it and its poor quality, but ill see if i can get a hold of hit and give it to you. Also does anyone have video of 254/1097/114's quarter and semi finals matches? they were both really close 2-1 they both times lost 1st match and then came back. And i wouldnt mind seeing the tripping accident again, hate to sound cruel but it was kinda funny.

We played them in the quarter finals. In fact I was watching the video today. I don't have a copy of it personally but I'm sure it will be posted on our team website within a couple of days. And we were pretty psyched when we realized we had a shot at beating them.

For those of us who weren't there, would someone care to enlighten us as to what exactly this "tripping incident" was?

When 114 got their 2nd place award, a freshmen tripped while shaking the hands of judges on one of those yellow and orange bumps used to protect wires and enable things to trsavel over them. Sorry i cant describe it very well

As posted above he tripped over one of the speed bump like cable protectors. It was pretty high, and I tripped over it a couple times...luckily avoided the faceplant though.

During the YMCA on the field before the final match, Team 1097's Pirate decided to tackle Team 100's hat mascot. I found it pretty amusing (although dangerous, as Bill pointed out) given a prior run in between the two.

Then they were promptly escorted off the field, and I assume were talked to sternly by Jason Morrella and another person. I was helping on my team's robot then looked up and saw an orange and a tan/black blur rolling on the field. That was... interesting...

Please everyone... no more mascot tackling or rough housing. It's kinda nice to allow team members onto the field during those breaks, but I'd guess that this practice would be put to a halt the next time there's an incident like this. FIRST can't afford another "crowd surfing-like" incident.

To add to this, the kid flew like 4 feet.

When we went back to the hotel, some of the guys wanted to show a couple of the girls the video, but due to an "incident" last year, guys aren't allowed in girls rooms and vice-verca. So they brought the tv and dresser into the hallway to watch it. This was at about 11 at night. We would have some pics of it, but Alice accidentally deleted them.

I'll post a link as soon as we get it up. A slight correction, but not important: He tripped while we got our Delphi Driving Tomorrow Award, and we carried him over it when we got our 2nd place award. Thats all.

When you ment previous run in, did you mean in 2003 :D ?
I heard that the main reason was because the hat was hoping infront of the pilot consistantly, so it was like, revenge from 20 minutes ago. Yeah it's not a very safe thing to do, but the person inside the hat happened to be one of our freshman, who's a football player, who, on a day to day basis, comes to our workmeetings with a helmet and runs into poles for kicks... he's a hyper guy.
The mascot run in from 2003 was a different person, who already graduated.

Too bad I didn't get to see any of this, I only thing I saw was the hat on the floor.

I remember that, I had gone to bed early and at about ten the other three girls came running in and wake me up, they then proceeded to tell me to come out to the hallway because they wanted to show me something. Three of the guys on our team had pulled the tv out into the hallway and were watching the kid fly over and over again. For some reason they were really intrigued by the incident.
