Koko...I just thought up something that might help the draft run a little smoother. Establish a schedule before the draft start and assign a time and date to each person with about 10-15 minutes in between each (skip hours when some may be asleep and such). Let everyone pick their team on or after that time. The schedule before hand will tell everyone when they need to be around. And if they aren't around, others can pick at their times and the people who missed their picks can come back at any time to make their selection, but the teams that others had already picked (after they missed their time slot) would not be available. Just ask that whenever someone posts their pick to include their time slot and it wouldn't be too hard to keep track of. And I am game for helping...just let me know what you want me to do. I hope this message made sense, if not, please ask questions.

Hey that sounds like a much better plan then last year and still fair i think we should run it this way. but also like last year teams should make a list and email to myself or kokoed we will specify later. Please do it in a word document and save it as your CD name so that way they can be kept track of very easily and all in on folder for organization.

and Jagman and thoughtful your both in good luck!

on the draft selection, as tkwetzel said earlier theres an idea for that, and give everyone a date and time to make their picks that may work. But i sorta came up with this other idea...Sort of like the yahoo fantasy baseball autodraft that they have, if we could have a program set up online where all the users can access it and then order their picks and they are automatically picked in the draft order and by process of elimination.

Id rather do it the same way we did last year (more fun that way). Plus we have guys who have experience running such a large draft.

Re: Championship Fantasy First

Yea now thinking about and talking with Ed i think we should go with last years way people know it and it is simple  also Ogre would like to play and is now # 44

Auto drafts are HORRIBLE only if we can get Eddie to see the light of a live draft

Yeah, I'm in too.

I haven't read this whole thread, but I have a suggestion:
Break everyone up into divisions, that way there is a smaller pool of robots they have to choose from.

your both on the list

Ogre that is the hard part about nationals you have to know a lot more about every robot it wouldn't be challenging if we broke it into smaller divisions then every one could get the cheesy poofs and Hammond..... get the picture

No, when you break it up into divisions, each FF division gets assigned a real division. That way each robot only gets picked once, and the 'good' robots are spilt up.

We'll call this the main Championship FF and we can do one for divisions.

more room still available

ok i Ogre has a good idea, now lets run with it. The Sub divisions will probably pop up later. As for this, the chaotic large style draft is a probably going to be what this ends up as. Same style as the other ones, everyone is notified of the draft date and their time slot (that won't be bumped up as we learned in NJ FF) I also think we need to add points to the Balint scoring system for stuff such as Division winner, and Overall Winner. Other than that its probably going to be just as chaotic as all the other drafts.

ps-does anyone know if its possible to write in columns in your posts, it would be a little helpful

as my buddy Koko Ed and the FF master said above, this is the original ruling FF Championship league, NO divisions.
