in general i think all the elmination matches were intense. People were stacking tetra's like crazy. There was never a dull second, from swampthing breaking to heatwave breaking, even tytus got into the fun and got hit in the head with a tetra, i had to respond to that since iw as lead safety supervisor ;)

I must say, the regional was a ton of fun for me, though I was not on the team anymore. The people who remember me make it a ton of fun (180, 179, 312, 1402, ect.), madd shout out to 234, bionic blue, or what not it was, you guys had an awesome bot, one of the few that sould hold a tetra good, pity you didn't get selected, I think you woulda done awesome in finals.

I must say however, I think it was weird in finals how some penalties were overlooked, true, the refs are only human, but to my knowledge when robots hold tetra's over the driver's stations, shouldn't that be a penalty? Lord knows no one were by two bots when they did it in finals, but oh well, not liek it woulda made a difference in finals or anythin' :P

Good fun, and some great bots out there, also awesome drivers. Wish you all the best at your next regionals and netionals, if I don't make it!

I'm just curious...did anybody keep tabs on how many times the DJ played the chicken dance? Or the YMCA? Or "We Will Rock You"?

A little variety never killed anybody. (Although I guess if the DJ is the only thing I can nit-pick about, the folks in Florida must be doing something right!)

Funny that you mentioned Tytus's name before anyone else's. I was amazed that Tytus didnt climb any trees or poles this weekend. Florida regional ROCKED!!! Thanks to everyone for making those 3 days memorable.

It just keeps getting better and better every year, the tetra coming over the wall made it a bit more intresting watching tyty move, i glad nothing happened, that wouldve been too many contorls ::hehe:: Anyway, thanks to the Refs, judges, and volenteers, and the tech ppl. I can only hope they had as much fun as I had. Thanks to Pink and the Bionic tigers, we had a awesome alliance. and can't wait to see every one at either SC or nats.
Now to try to get "we will rock you out of my head"....

For We Will Rock You, we quit counting Saturday morning when it got to 12 times.

What a great regional. This is really a fun game to watch. The thing that impressed me the most was how well all the rookie teams performed; we didn't have very many there but I saw alot of pretty good tetra mechanisms, and even the teams that didn't try stacking had the capability to contain and play defense.

See y'all at nat's

I have to say 233, 179, did a great job. They gave us the first match in the QF. but the second one was very close. Great job. It was pink time to take the win. Great job by 108 they where under rated. they did what they had to do to do well they just got bad breaks. We wanted to do well but we did not want to be in the top 8 after friday. We would of liked to have been pick by a top seed.

Florida regional I think is the best. We had three major snow storms in Mass. during our stay in Florida.

There were 5 incident reports filled out and three people to the hospital. The three people in the hospital were all in the stands. Two people tripped on stairs hurting there legs or something else. One girl had a asthma attack and then a panic attack. Then one was for the nose bleed of a driver and thats why they had to stop the matches for a couple of min and one was thursday night a team was testing AI and the arm came down on a hand just a cut. There were alot cuts and scraps but nothing serious

Two of the girls where mine students. One slip on a wet stair and slammed her leg into something. She has to wait a week before a Dr. even See her because of the bruise. The other girl did have a asthma attack and then a panic attack. the panic attack was caused by getting a IV which has a needle. she does not like needle. that is what set her off. She is fine now and doing good. On this trip I had a kid twist his knee that is why he was in a wheel chair at the competition. and when the kids got off the bus after the 28 hour ride I had one kid get sick on the driveway. had one girl drop where they had to call a EMT's. So this was the first year in 11 years I had this many problems.

I will be bring only 16 kids next year instead of 48. These kids are going to have to work very hard to come.
