Just a friendly reminder that the weather is predicting rain and gray skies this weekend so be sure to dress for the weather and bring a umbrella just in case.
I can't wait to see everyone at Philly. Everyone who has posted in this thread has to stop by the MOE pit and say Hi to me now because i want to meet all of you.

Dress in layers. Drexel's DAK Center has no air conditioning, it can get really hot in there. The doors into the pit air are usually open and can keep that area cool, but the playing field and stands can get toasty.

I did not travel to Pittsburgh with Royal Assault so I am really looking forward to Friday and Saturday.(Can't make Thursday). Philly is great regional. There are always competitive robots supported by really great teams, who are always willing to help everyone out.

All the crates look great sitting in thier rows. The loan exception is 358, who is sitting in the loading dock. I was a little freaked out when I couldnt find them in thier pit because I drafted them with my first pick in Fantasy FIRST Philly :yikes: (with 87 and 1495 also, I think have a shot). All the crates are there and safe since they have a security guard keeping them company right now.

I have to sleep now. See all you guys in a couple hours, when we get to uncate those bots :)

Re: Philly's regional, are you going?

I'm so happy that we are in third place at the end of Friday. I'm so twitchy before every match. I'm the arm operator for our team. You'll either see me bouncing or pacing in the first queing area and at the control station before the match. Or standing there with my eyes closed trying to chill out. This year is definitely going great for us.

But some of the teams that I know should be doing really well aren't as high as I expected them. I guess that is just how the groupings go. I've heard a lot about that.

The thing that made me really happy was in that one tie we had I had just gotten our autonomous working, (knocking down a hanging tetra) and if it weren't for that one point, we would have lost it.

Been a lot of fun here, I love all the architecture in the city. Very nice to see, better than Baltimore back home.

Good luck to everyone on saturday. I hope you all can go home saying you had a great time. I know I will be.

Saturday is finally here, the last day of the regional. Right now its very early because i could barely sleep, my voice is partially gone, but I'm psyched! by the time i got back to school on Tuesday, I'm gonna have no voice, half asleep and falling over for no reason, almost like a regular day except the voice part. :p So anyway good luck to all the teams, make sure u keep an eye out for me and stop to say hi, i met some people already and yay I'm so happy u remember! go us! lol anyway good luck, give it your all, and make sure u lose your voice!

Team 316 would like to congratulate everyone who competed this weekend in Drexel. This was by far the best competition I have been to yet. Thanks to our sister team 365 MOE and 56 Robbe Xtreme for the experience to the championship. We are going to try and see everyone again in Atlanta. If not we will see you at PARC or there is always the DUEL on the Delaware.

Thank You Mr. Hinde, Mr. Weick, Mrs. Weick, Mr. Robinson, Ms. Halter, Sam, Mr. Bartlett and PACO, and all of our parents for their support.

For everyone who went to Philly's regional, i hope you had a blast and will vist us soon! Congrats to everyone who won and I hope to see you on the off seasons or next year, I won't be going to nationals, but some of my team will. For everyone who I met at the competition, thanks for saying hi and all that, hop we keep in touch, I'm me whenever you please. Sure I'm upset we had malfunctions with our robot, but I have to admit I had a pretty good time for my first season competition. Congrats to everyone! Make sure you keep in touch now!

Re: Philly's regional, are you going?

Ok.... wow... I never expected to get #1 seeding and the highest average. Kind of crazy today. Good job to our alliance mates 103 and 484.

After our first elimination round we had managed to break the roll pin holding our arm, so that was laying out in front of us, getting caught on everything, we bent 2 axles, dropped a chain, and bent out hook. I was amazed at how fast that all got fixed. Wasn't quite fast enough though...

The field personnel were very helpful when everything got confusing, good job to them.

I would like to congratulate 316, they had done well and are a very nice team to work with in the qualifications.

Did anyone notice that the pit announcer didn't seem so friendly on Friday? "Congratulations, match XX actually made it to the queuing area with only 2 calls, they didn't need a final one..." I know I heard that more than once, and the tone of voice wasn't exactly friendly.

EDIT: Oh I heard that our human player made it to the channel 6 news on Friday night, can anyone with information about that PM me? Thanks

Why were we last? :( ;) I loved how our crate was right next to the queueing area...and the really cool eagle flying ripping apart I/Os side was showing out. :)
