This goes to show a 1 trick pony won't cut it. You need to be unpredictable and mix it up. These are great strategies we're seeing here. The elite teams are taking it for granted they'll just outcap.

ARGH! That was quite definitely a match that shouldn't have been decided by penalties. I didn't see anything remotely over-aggressive there. I refuse to watch any more of this in protest.

I actually think there were penalties in the second match for loading zone against blue that went uncalled...but that's just me and looking at the webcast.

Wow! Great job 79, 648 and 107. That must have been a tough ref call. It basically decided the match and possibly the winner of the regional. I've seen more aggressive play that has not been called at other regionals but I guess that's part of what makes the refs job so much tougher than some other years. Maybe I missed something that was not shown on the webcast. In any case, great job to all the teams in that last match.

These refs are disabling like crazy...

Re: Midwest Regional Webcast.

I feel that that penalty was wrongfully called. Since when are there penalties for playing defense ?! (there was no hitting high, nor ramming at high speeds) This is my opinion though.....

I was noticing that. An elim match with all three robots disabled is pretty crazy.

And now Final 2 has to be replayed because they didn't disable a robot early enough. Hehe.

Awe man, these refs must be tired and grumpy. Send em out for dinner and let these guys wrap this up.

Congrats to teams 648, 79, 107, you were the best alliance there IMO. Hope to see you go far at Nats. and possibly other regionals.

Congrats 71, 111, and 537. I just watched he elimination rounds on webcast... I think this regional was the toughest we've seen yet. The sheer amount of tetras stacked was amazing. I'll be watching out for y'all in Atlanta. Best of luck at Nats!
