Don't break a leg! I somehow remember Steve being the first announcer to do this at the Finger Lakes Regional. Maybe a little bit of it rubbed off on Paul :)

PS Anyone know how much the goals can support? And if yes, divide that by 9lbs for how many tetras...

Dave Verbrugge did it at GLR too, but I was sad... he didn't do his famous handstand!!! :ahh:

Re: pic: Paul Copioli is worth 3 points!

If I unintentionally pull Paul off of the goal:
A) Does that count as descoring?
B) Does the other team get ownership of the goal?
C) How much is it worth to everyone else to see Paul get descored?

if i tried to do that while i was "MC training at NJ, i dont think we would have had a center goal to use for the competition

I know that paul inspected the goal before attempting this and we warned him that it was a little wobbly, so he went ahead and did a test run pre competition. Good thing he didn't fall, because i probably would have laughed, then felt bad, and rushed to his aid, but then probably laughed some more... Wait people getting hurt isn't funny.

And who is that funny looking tall guy standing behind him?

In this case, Paul does not count, his apex (not visible in picture - TG) is more than six inches from the supporting structure.

Darn.... If he did count, then it would be red ownership of the goal :D .
Nobody can cap on top of him!.... Unless a robot can reach above his head...
Hmm.... Hey Wildstang!!! :D

I believe the announcer jumped onto the middle goal at the Buckeye regional too. When this happened the head ref looked very nervous about the whole thing. He was relieved when the announcer jumped off and the goal was still standing :p

GO 1403!!!

Yeah, the MC at Buckeye did do this as well, come to think of it he did a lot of things that made our safety captain wince. I considered taking one of our safety cards up to him and saying that our safety captain would like to have a discussion with him, but our safety captain decided that we should let him have his fun. lol.

Good old Dave Verbrugge. We got to see the full headstand with pointed foot team identifications in all its glory. I was in China last year during the Buckeye Regional. I so missed out on Dave's antics.

Blair also did the center goal jump thing at Pittsburgh. I think it's mandatory training at FIRST MC School.

I don't think we could ever get an accurate count for the maximum number of tetras, because the tetra stack would just become unstable (was it 12?), and any extra tetras on the top would just make the goal possibly fall over.
