We don't hang our banners in the pits, but back in our shop we put a wooden rod through the top of the banner and attached a string to each end of the rod. We then hung the string from a screw in the wall.

We do this in the pits and just hang it from the post that FIRST supplies with the team number on it.

We hang banners from previous events in the current season in our pits on the pole that is provided to us in our pits with string and tape, or at nats over the curtain in the back of the pits.

When the season is done banners go up in the school's gym. We almost have more than the athletic teams.

Our model shop guy and one of our students designed a holder out of PVC pipe to hold our FLR banner and our two Chairman's award banners.
It's a bit top heavy but it looks great.

Duct tape. Lots of it. And a few zip ties.
