Atlanta: Last Minute Travelers
Okay, still need to find transportation to and from Atlanta? Low on cash? I have a great option for you. Team 66 has approximately 10 seats remaining on it's charter bus to Atlanta. These seats cost only $120 each. The bus will leave Willow Run High School, (in Ypsilanti, MI about 10 minutes from the site of the Great Lakes Regional) Wednesday April 20 at 8pm and return to WR on Sunday at 9am. Moreover...IS ANYBODY leaving from the Boston Area to Atlanta, who may perhaps have an extra seat in a van/on a bus/in a trunk?? I can justify taking a week of school off, but I can't justify spending more than $100 to get to Atlanta, being a college student. If I wasn't desperate to get to Nationals, I wouldn't be using CD to promote this kind of effective, "virtual hitch-hiking"...but since I am desperate, if you know any way I can get to GA for cheap, with last minute notice, please let me know...Thanks

Extra Stop: In addition from our Ypsilanti departure given earlier, we will also be making a stop at approximately 9pm in Toledo to pick up a rookie team. If anyone form that area is interested in riding with us...or is youre from further away and get to Toledo by 9pm wednesday night e-mail the address above, or PM for our exact pick-up location. We will also be making a stop for driver change in Dayton. If you would like to board our bus in Dayton please use the e-mail address provided earlier, or PM me. We want EVERYONE at nationals!

We just were informed we CAN get to compete in Atlanta! (at Noon today my son found out, I got the word about 6PM...) The Foley Freeze, Team #910 needs to get as many down to Atlanta on a wing and a prayer, your Bus seems like a great option for about half our people. As soon as we can get coordinated I'd like to secure the seats we are able to, we have a 6PM meeting on the 11th to consolidate and coordinate travel plans and make further decisions. I know the Hotel date has also already passed, what might still be available? |

FRV-21 (Vex newbie) we are effectively a late entry because of needed BOE approval April 11th 8 pm. I am looking into options. Going from NJ to Atlanta and back. We have Three adults and two students so far, and 'Vex bot. We will have a meeting to discuss travel April 11th 6:30 pm and hotel. Does anyone want to share a room in Atlanta or have room on a bus? RAGE FRC Team 173 has an extra room at the Embassy Suites Centennial Park hotel available, adjacent to the park and across from the venue. I believe it has a King Size bed in the bedroom, a frig and microwave, and a queen-size sleep sofa in the living room. If interested PM me or e-mail me.
