After watching you guys at SoCal, I would have to say that you have probably the best drive team. You just kept on communicating and I never say you guys do anything that wasn't supposed to happen.

These guys were awesome if I do say so myself. Jeff proved to himself that he could be the driver that we knew he could be. Patrick was amazing controlling a somewhat finicky elevator and the best grabber in FIRST (thanks Philip). I know that Honson didn't think that he would do well but I will challenge any human player to match up to his speed and ability. Great job guys.
By the way girls, one or more might be available. ;) |

Just wanted to see if anyone could tell if the effect in the picture was photoshopped or if it was acutally taken like that? I am not entirely sure myself since this was taken off the newly updated gallery at team 188.com
Its acutally kind of ironic since on the monday after the So.Cal. Regional, at High Tech High-LA I was part of a photography class and the teacher was explaining how to do the opposite of this effect, with the subject partly blurred and the rest of the scene sharp. |

Hard-working and gutsy...
no elevator? no problem... You find a way to win. And these guys did just that. I was honoured to have these guys in front of me. Didn't matter if we had a robot that wouldn't turn at all - then would turn way too fast, or if we had an elevator that self-destructed every second match. A disconnected pneumatic hose leaving no pressure in the grabber? No problem, we knew exactly what to do. What about having the most demanding robot to manually load in all of FIRST, with refs finding new rules every week to make your job harder? Both feet on the ground, no jumping, you can't make contact with a tetra already loaded, now do it all blindfolded with both arms tied behind your back? Can you be expected to do it all at light speed, and penalty free? We expected it... and these guys delivered. Never once frustrated, and always executed what needed to be done... no matter what bizarre circumstances came our way. What more could you ask for? Nothing... Thanks for a great year guys! -SlimBoJones... |

Quite an awesome drive team there... I can't recall a single penalty or wrong action of your part - your strategy was flawless (like holding the center goal, and releasing right at the end), and your drivers mentallaly ready. And that Honson, hes one brave soul, with one nice helmet!
