Remember, this is the Canadian Discovery Channel; that's the one that actually has a daily science news program.

Aww! Once again I am denied a recordable, mailable way to explain to sponsors what exactly we do. Do you know of any upcoming US media coverage on the nationals?

It's always cool to see FIRST get recognition on television. It's a bummer that its only gonna be seen in Canada though.

I'm not sure if this is linked to the filming in Toronto, but I did notice a TV film camera around the FL regional which I believe was linked to Discovery (thought I saw one of the guys wearing a Discovery hat). But, as far as I know, we haven't received a e-mail from Discovery.

Darn it! I was hoping we could use some of it in the video we're working on...

I haven't visited that part of their site in years (they called the show @discovery.ca, rather than Daily Planet, back then). But it appears that yes, they now have links to videos numerous segments, dating back several years, here. E-mail them to get permission to use it for your team's promotions.

Dang, this is pretty exciting. I love when FIRST is on TV. Gives me a reason to actually be sitting there for hours apon hours.
