Welcome to the club!

Melissa Nute 01-05-2002 21:06

Most guys do that I noticed...it's kinda cute in a weird way...

Harrison 01-05-2002 21:15

I'm sure all your gals get a great laugh of us struggeling oh so much infront of you...

It's depressing...well, not really...lol

Melissa Nute 01-05-2002 21:18

Not a laugh, per se, an attraction sometimes...because it is like you are trying to impress us in some goofy way.. i like it at least...

srawls 01-05-2002 21:23

well as long as you understand I guess it can't be too bad :)

Harrison 01-05-2002 21:23

They like seeing us struggle,teh?

Well, I should start selling tickets, then:D At least then, the andrenaline and nervousness will be worth $$$. not :( :( :(

I could have a different way to go out every day: the dead conversation route, the boyfriend walking up, the parents rounding the corner...i could sell out entire stadiums with un- parelled feats of messing up entirely:eek:

:D j/k :p , None of the above stuff ever really happens to me, I can get out of conversations, and get out of msot otehr situations with some fast footwork and quick talking.

Remember:

Although "faint hearts never won fair ladies",

Discretion IS the better part of valor

So just pick one and go for it: what do you have to lose? (don't answer that:D )

Harrison 01-05-2002 22:45

No, it is probably a good thing that you don't want us to answer that...

I could definately give you a list of things that you have to lose.

Judy 01-05-2002 22:58

The guys keep going on about how they don't understand any of the hints chicks give. I'm so obvious it's not even funny, and still nothing! One thing I would love is for the guy to actually go for it/ act on whateva... it just makes sense. I mean if a girl is totally obvious, just go for it! It really bothers me when you hear all the stories of the guy that never had the guts to tell that girl they had feelings for them and then they dwell on it for years. I think that's so dumb! I mean, go for it, again, what do you have to loose.. chances are you've already embarrased yourself around her a few times anyway! So just do it, cause I for one am sick of guys not acting on stuff, etc. Thanks.

Ann-Marie - I'm like you. If I like a guy, almost everyone around me knows except somehow the guy because he can't take hints....bleh
I don't see why guys just go for it more often. We won't hurt them if they ask...and usually we are quite nice even if we are turning you down.

Quain 02-05-2002 06:46

Well... sometimes there may not be hints... a little flirting here and there... grand.. but wut if its your good friend? And what if by persuing a relationship... you find out that she dosn't like you? And then becomes weirded out by the whole situation and then you grow apart... ? Then it becomes one big mistake... and you're not as confidant anymore.. and then you can't show/tell people wut u think eh? *Shrug* personal experience...

Ben Mitchell 02-05-2002 16:08

There's always the thought, though, that she may be toying with you, and waiting for you to mess up...

Yup, that's the #1 way to crush a man's spirit:(

'Going for it' is a big risk, and for some reason, it is vey hard to do. Much harder than bungee jumping: if that goes bad, you lose your life, if this goes bad, you lose...quite a bit of self confidence.:( That hurts, espcially if you've been saving it up for a special occasion....

(such as the Nats, or a regional:D ;) :p )

I know how you feel there, I was really hoping to meet a girl at nats, even just to dance with. But, alas, not many people were dancing, and the ones that were wouldn't dance with me. Oh well, there's always next year! :)

Quain - To tell you the truth, I know how that is...one of my close guy friends was being extra friendly with me or so I thought, so I thought, sure maybe he wants a relationship...asked him on a date, I was rejected...we didn't talk for about four months afterwards, partly because it was way too ackward...but time heals all wounds, and we are now just a close as friends as we use to be. you and that girl should be better in time hopefully

Ben - It's also the #1 way for a girl's spirit to be crushed...
