Or maybe the thud was when your Cone Of Silence team #71 got knocked over on it's back with its wheels just a spinnin' in the the last finals game at the Boilermaker. Granted their alliance won that particular game so they just need to be helped over a little sooner this time around. :)

While I am thinking about Kevin's #10, I happen to like tie-dye. One reason is that I wore it when it was originally in style. As far as team #111, I like their clothing. When you see the tie-dye shirts you know what you are looking at, the "WildStangs" and I am glad they are on the Newton playing field.

Bring on the Championship!

Dave, you rock, you are my new hero. :)

Ok. Just to let everyone realize that the impossible happens in sports (and robotics is def a sport. duhhhh ;) ). Let's see what happened in 2004...

-Unlikely Panthers win NFC Championship and go to the super bowl
-Pistons somehow beat the Lakers in NBA Finals
-RED SOX WIN!!!!!!!!!!!

Anything can happen guys. I think you're all forgetting that all of the regionals winners in the Archimedes bracket do not matter. Only 3 make the finals anyways. So we'll see what happens  .

See the trick is that Shipley's are good hot OR cold. But I digress. I really hope everyone here knew all the stuff besides #11 was a joke. Archi scares me and I'm in the crazy division.

It is true that Archimedes has a ridiculous number of good teams but it is the Championships and each division needs only to put up 3 to win the whole thing and I am sure that no one will argure that every division doesnt have atleast 3 elite, championship grade teams. This is going to be an amazing year with so many repeat winners. Dont count any one out though, who is to say that some rookie team with a decent bot and alot of heart wont drop a tetra on the center goal causing a 40+ point swing and winning it all. Statistics are nothing Prior Results do not impact Future instances, something you learn in day 1 of statistics and probability, It is anyones game

Don't forget the penalties are a huge factor thei year and a team that was strong in ht eregionals could get saddled with penalty prone teams who cost them game after game after game and suddenly they find themselves at the bottom of the standings.

Koko Ed, I am the operator for team 250. My fellow driver and I were extremely excited about competing on your alliance for our final two matches of the regional qualifying rounds at FLR. We did our best and got a 30 point penalty in one of the matches that cost us the match and your unblemished record. We ended up losing both matches and felt terrible for taking away your number one seed. The two of us wanted to apologize for the unfortunate losses. Your team rebounded, however, and showed what kind of spirit it takes to win 2 National Chairman's Awards. Congratulations on your team's Regional win and on your Spirit Award which was very well deserved. Good luck in Atlanta.

Re: 2005 Divisions Announced

I have to add that Curie and Newton are lucky to get to play with our new friends from Israel. This year there are 16 international teams from 3 countries participating in the championship event (includes everyone besides Americans). We have 13 Canandian teams, 2 Israeli teams, and a single team from Brazil. Newton will have a team representing each country and every division has a few Canadian teams in it to mix things up a bit. If I was going I would love to see how well some of the international alliances perform together, as well as see how our friends from overseas play the game,
