Hey everyone, how 'bout some love for the West Coast?

492, 64, 254, and 114 are all great teams coming from west of the Rockies!

After having a night to reflect on it, if we have 8 matches per team, I think there will be 2 or 3 undefeated teams, and the remainder of the top 8 will have 1 loss. If we have 10 matches per team, only 1 will be undefeated and the 8th team will only have 8 wins (2 losses or ties). This division is too deep with talent to expect any team to easily remain undefeated.

Do not be surprised if the lower 4 alliances "upset" the top four alliances in the playoffs (as happened in Philly a few years back). This depth of talent ensures that the playoff alliances will not only be very strong, but also very equal. Scouting will have a difficult task placing teams in the preferred order to choose partners in the playoffs, because we will have about 5-6 very elite robots, followed by about 18-20 top tier robots.

One thing's for sure . . .

Yeah - wasn't that Stack Attack and the top four all lost in the quarters and semis? I was thinking that there are so many really good teams in Galileo (and Archimedes, for that matter) that it might be hard to put together one truly dominant alliance. I figure there are the makings of at least three great alliances. The best part is: that should make for some outstanding matches throughout the week.

Well, I know what field I'll be watching on the webcast... ;)

Good luck...I can already sense the craziness that is going to come from this cluster of teams!

Oddly enough this is our third year in a row on Galileo! :D

It looks like Miss Daisy will be in good company, with lots of old friends.

Best of luck to everyone from Team 341!!

Hm... Archimedes vs. Galileo in a cheering volley across the playing fields??? Yup, we could try that! (TJ2 and Buzz tried to take on RAGE in a cheering volley at Chesapeake - not sure who was the winner of that , but it was LOUD!)

In all the years I've been watching competitions, I've yet to see a robot talk trash. Maybe there's a lesson there? :D

Or maybe the lesson is Archimedes should bring earplugs, because Galileo is going to
ROCK THE HOUSE!!!
Come on TJ2, Galileo's got your back!!!

 <--Archimedite without earplugs
