Re: Galileo Teams

Thanks for nice comments on 56 we are starting to get sick of goin up against 103 this is the third comp we hafta see them (still never played a match with them just against) lol, team 237 our nj partners were amazing are in there, our other great friends from 25 will be hanging out with us at a second comp, of coarse our winning alliance partners from philly BOTH 365 and 316 will be in there, and i think we are the only team that not only had the pleasure of goin up against these great teams but also 254 out at the sacramento regional i have heard they have gotten better since then and thats definately scary they were awsome partners in qualifying rounds cant wait to see all these teams again. should be an amazing competition and one great time.

P.S.
look out for the sombrero its packed in the crate and now sittin in ATLANTA come over and say hi ill prob be around the 56 pit most the time, and i cant wait for the 1 on 1 team 56 vs team 237 challange!!!!

Well I would be interested in seeing Karthik's analysis because we are coming up with this same thing here in Michigan. Ours is based on the depth of good scoring robotics per division. Ya, ya, I know this is flawed since we all know defense wins championships. See you all in Atlanta and best of luck!

I'm not sure Karthik's paper analyzes anything. His spreadsheet is just the overall results from the combined regionals. He reported the statistics for each division -- which is not a conclusatory statement -- merely facts. Teams are free to interpret or analyze those results as they wish, but Karthik drew no conclusions that I remember.

Correct. It is an organized set of data from which you can draw your own conclusions, but it is not an analysis in and of itself.

edit: unless I am unaware of something else Karthik has done...

Keep looking, me and alicia (looneylin) are writing one. It could take awhile...we're still finding out all the team names. :D

Go go Galileo!!

I'm so excited! You better all say hi to me if you see me, I'll be the arm driver running around frantically and trying not to hit anyone with the cart (which I avoided at drexel....wel, mainly).

:D :ahh:

GOOD LUCK! I attempted to do it... Got up to like 25 or so teams then was unhappy with it and tossed it out... Its frustrating...

Re: Galileo Teams

i'll tell you what the story is due by tuesday of next week, =) - there just added more pressure. just take your time do it right and make it sound good. With so many teams in each division, each story adopts a rythm from the team names and makes it easier and easier to write. I would create one but...... I'm not as patient with my computer espicially if it what i've done gets messed up and doesn't save =(
