Cyber Blue Scouting Session

Team 234 Cyber Blue will be holding a quick scouting session on Thursday at Nationals.

Time: 10:00 AM
Location: To Be Determined; Check at the Cyber Blue pit for a location by 9:45 AM on Thursday.
Who: This will be a quick meeting geared towards teams who do not scout, or are unsure of how to scout efficiently. We will pass out copies of the form that we are using this year for teams that want them. All teams are welcome, but we'd ask that only a few of your team's scouters attend.

If you cannot make the meeting, but are still interested in having a scouting form for Nationals, feel free to stop by our pit at any time during Thursday or Friday to pick up some forms.

Scouting is essential to your team. Don't be the team who is unsure of who to pick when you're unexpectantly bumped to 8th seed. Don't be the team who has no clue who they're picking until they walk out onto the field. Be prepared - come to the Cyber Blue Scouting Session.

Ryan, is it okay for "veteran" teams to send some kids by too? We have some kids with us that will be scouting that have never been to the Championships before so I'm thinking that, with a whopping 341 teams floating about and at least 80 to scout, they might want some advice on how to manage it all.

I'd like to vouch for Ryan Dognaux and team 234. Both my team, 461, and 234 have made scouting a priority this year, and I saw first hand at Boilermaker Regional what 234's system looks like.

The sheets are efficient and informative, and their scouting head (I believe it is Ryan, it seemed like it) is very fast. :) Good luck to all in scouting.

The session is open to anyone.

As Chris said - it's open to anyone. Again, stop by the 234 pit before 10:00 AM on Thursday to figure out where the meeting will be held. We'll have it advertised, and people in the pit will know, or something along those lines.

Anybody can be an alliance captain with a little luck, and too many teams don't know who to pick when it happens.

Precisely, which is one of the reasons we are offering this session. If anyone has any questions about it, feel free to private message me. Otherwise, stop by the Cyber Blue pit sometime before 10:00 AM on Thursday if you're interested, and we'll see you there!
