Video: Team 1015
We had a pretty good robot this year, which utilizes a modified forklift design to cap tetras very efficiently. We could score 4-6 tetras every match. However, we had some bad luck, and failed to place in the two regionals we attended
Anyways, I made a video of our "accomplishments" this year. http://s20.yousendit.com/e.aspx?id=0...I3N4ZJ7OP5E171 |

Re: Video: Team 1015
I can't listen to the audio right now~
everything looks GREAT very NICE accelerated shot of capping 6~ also your robots ability to carry and release tetras seems flawless |
Re: Video: Team 1015
thanks for the comments :D
Our robot carries tetras pretty stably, but the drive train seems a bit squirrely. You can't really tell from the vid, bc it's only supposed to showcase our strong points ;) It's 2 drive wheels powered by 2 CIM motors each. There are 4 castors in each corner of the chassis. Sometimes, the robot gets stuck on a goal bc of the castors! We put guards on the castors, and now it's a lot better, but it still (rarely) happens. We were supposed to stack more than 1 at a time, but it would be less stable when stacking, so we just went with 1. |
Re: Video: Team 1015
Capping one at a time strategically has seemed to be a more successful strategy - so I think it worked out for the best for you all =)
Also I suggest you spend all the time you can thursday trying to solve the 'castors sticking' problem -- even if it happens rarely, it can happen - and not only will it hurt your alliance but it could possibly hurt your chances for being picked come saturday. best of luck to you all! |
Re: Video: Team 1015
Unfortunately, we are poor and can't attend the Championships :(
This is my senior year too :( I might be a mentor next year, so I might get to go next year :) |
