im goign to try and convince our head team menotrs/parents to see if we could take a core team down *drive team, 1-2 pit, and a parent or two* and if anyone was chartering a bus from NE if this is able to work out then i would deffinatley go for the bus ride *cheaper... no shipping yay :D*

but even if the team doesnt go, i was looking to car-pool or hop on a bus for a cost from anywhere just about in NE...

Do you mean full teams, or individuals to help chip in on costs, or maybe both?

I so want to go to IRI because I missed Atlanta this year.

...and because I have never actually hung out with those crazy FIRSTers from the midwest ever, and they seem like a pretty cool bunch to hang out with if they let me..

Or maybe we can drive out in a caravan together. Right now our tentative plans are to take our seniors out in the motorhome. Then we can help with the tailgating party, too! :D

I'm looking for a hotel buddy. This poor college student can't afford to pay for her own room all by herself. On the plus side, I only live about an hour from Indy, and I have a car, so if you want to split a room with me, and you're coming from out of town, I'll even pick you up from the airport and provide transportation while you're here....ah, who am I kidding, I'd do that for anybody. What can I say, I'm a sucker for FIRST-ers. Also, anybody wanting to car pool with me in the general vicinity of west/lafayette indiana, let me know.

Amanda

9 Miles down I-465

You might want to try the Extended Stay North on Shadeland Ave, the rates are around $65, its only a mile or so away from the school and you do not have to worry about going on any interstates

Any major airports besides IND to fly out of? I'm looking for a Friday night flight out to Buffalo and was looking for a different airport to shop around at.

Almost 100% sure there's no airports with significant commercial service anywhere near. AFAIK the next largest airport closest to Indy is Chicago Midway and O'Hare.

If you are going to need a ride to/from the airport to the venue or to your hotel, please PM me immediately. I am going to begin compiling a list of who needs rides at what time, and finding a pool of drivers willing to pick up and drop off.

At this time, I don't need to know who needs a ride to and from the venue every day from their hotels, only who needs a ride to the school from the airport, and who will need a ride back to the airport after it's all over. Give me your flight times, and I will try to save everyone some money.
