Re: Team Numbers in Everyday Places
On my calc test today I had Team Discovery/6 and reduced the fraction to get H.O.T./3. It was a frightening test, but not for that reason. But I got distracted thinking about the two team numbers, so there you go. And it's 1:21 now! And this is by 126th post. Now I have two thirds of the alliance that won BAE last year... must go find 350 on something.

Re: Team Numbers in Everyday Places
I recently realized that my IP address (which hasn't changed in over a year) can be expressed as "More Martians [dot] MetalHeads [dot] S.P.A.M. [dot] H.O.T.".

Re: Team Numbers in Everyday Places
I tend to see team numbers in phone numbers more than anything else. Then yet again, a phone number has quite a few numbers in it! :D

Re: Team Numbers in Everyday Places
Austin built a new city hall recently. It is at a juncture with Town Lake and the walking paths of the park all around the lake. They've also built matching condos, business suites across the street - everything streamline, neat, tidy but still Austin-ish. One of the buildings is doing some upkeep and at ground level has put up plywood in 3 different windows spanning 1/4 block. Someone has spraypainted 111 in red on each of the plywood panels. As you come off the South First bridge and make that gentle curve you are almost eye level with 111 then 111 then more 111. It's great. I smile every morning on the way to work. Esp. with the early morning runners and their dogs - lowkey, cool, tie-dye.

I was playing with a PID control loop for my ARM robot and realized that I had programmed it 47 times. I had forgotten to plug the programming cable in a couple times and there were a couple of failures, so I redid it for the picture. That is why the times are so close together.

Re: Team Numbers in Everyday Places
It's not exactly a team number, but I always giggle when I'm reading Oedipus Tyrannus for English. They don't shut up about "going to Delphi." :p
And today, I was watching the movie 61* and I happened to pause it at exactly 1:11:40 (could be read as either 111 or 1114). Edit: Heh, this also happens to be my 25th post. ;) |
