Re: Team Numbers in Everyday Places

Our team went to Denny's for dinner one night. We were looking at the menu when we realized that they had 4 or 5 items on the menu that were priced at "5.99". We had a good kick out of makign the waitress realize that what we ordered corresponded with the number on all of our t-shirts! :-D

Oh yea, one more thing with "599" in it.

399. Imagine how many times that shows up... $3.99 is an easy price to find.

I've seen it on a couple license plates though, so cool... Can't remember too many others besides the countless receipts.

Today on the way to a team meeting I bought a Monster, some mints and Gas.

I emptied my wallet (and coin tray in my car) and put all the extra into the gas.

The total for the Monster and mints was $2.94 and the amount left for Gas was $3.30 (another southbay team).

That was weird....

This is rather freaky. If you take the number of the Beast (666), mod it by 512, and multiply it by 10 you get 1540. This does not seem like a good omen...

Doing research on Robert Boyle (one of the gas laws: volume is inversely proportional to pressure), I found this:

[NOTE] I put in the rather long quote for context. If you want to read about Robert Boyle (trust me, it's not very interesting), you can find it here. [/NOTE]

It's amazing how often it happens, the team number gets stuck into your mind.
During this build season, MLK Jr. Day was 1/15, if I remember correctly, and then it was called MVRT day to try to get members to show up on that day.:D
And then, the final night of build, it was 1:15 AM, and we were like, "It's MVRT time!":p

well, my friend has his watch set so it goes off at 2:33pm....and gas is in the range of 2.33 here....but the coolest is passing by exit 233 on our way to atlanta championships each year, and every year we conspire to stop and steal that sign....lol

....I wish we had a 2-33 day..../sigh

The cheapest flight I could have had to Atlanta cost $571 (Paragon). (Any idea why I'm not going? ;) )

During lunch in the NYC regional my friend and I went to Subway to catch some lunch and our combined price including tax was $16.60. We were in shock! :)
