Austin built a new city hall recently. It is at a juncture with Town Lake and the walking paths of the park all around the lake. They've also built matching condos, business suites across the street - everything streamline, neat, tidy but still Austin-ish. One of the buildings is doing some upkeep and at ground level has put up plywood in 3 different windows spanning 1/4 block. Someone has spraypainted 111 in red on each of the plywood panels. As you come off the South First bridge and make that gentle curve you are almost eye level with 111 then 111 then more 111. It's great. I smile every morning on the way to work. Esp. with the early morning runners and their dogs - lowkey, cool, tie-dye.

I was playing with a PID control loop for my ARM robot and realized that I had programmed it 47 times. I had forgotten to plug the programming cable in a couple times and there were a couple of failures, so I redid it for the picture. That is why the times are so close together.

It's not exactly a team number, but I always giggle when I'm reading Oedipus Tyrannus for English. They don't shut up about "going to Delphi." :p

And today, I was watching the movie 61* and I happened to pause it at exactly 1:11:40 (could be read as either 111 or 1114).

Edit: Heh, this also happens to be my 25th post. ;)

Whoa. Yesterday, I posted about pausing my movie at exactly 1:11:40 (1114). Well, later that night, I checked the time at 11:14. When I went up to bed, I looked at the clock in my room, which I still haven't set forward an hour (hey, I just changed my calendar from March to May, give me a break! :p), and the time, according to that clock was 11:14.

Also, my dad was in a 5K run today, and at the end, they were announcing the raffle winners. The guy with number 25 won the tv. ;)

I see team numbers all the time at my job. I work at the deli counter at a bustling local produce market. For one, I see the numbers of teams 1 - 99 on the "Now serving: ##" display.
Also, each product, has a code associated with it to be entered into the scale to produce a price tag. For instance, Krakus Polish Ham is #65. Mmm, Polish Huskies. :p
1403 is Land 'o Lakes White American Cheese. Just a sample of the hundreds of products.
Oddly enough, I have no clue what code #67 is.

I know this topic is kind of old, but recently, I've been getting 87 for everything! I was customer 87 in both WaWa and Pat's Pizza. The clincher, the pizza ended up costing me $8.70 to the cent! Omen? Or destiny?

Also, the temperature for our team party is going to be 87*F.

Since nationals, I've done the same.

While at WPI Frontiers, my three other team members and I added together our team numbers to make 3434 (177, 228, 1403, 1626), and called ourselves "Team 3434 - Rolling Thunder."

Doing research on Robert Boyle (one of the gas laws: volume is inversely proportional to pressure), I found this:

[NOTE] I put in the rather long quote for context. If you want to read about Robert Boyle (trust me, it's not very interesting), you can find it here. [/NOTE]

It's amazing how often it happens, the team number gets stuck into your mind.
During this build season, MLK Jr. Day was 1/15, if I remember correctly, and then it was called MVRT day to try to get members to show up on that day.:D
And then, the final night of build, it was 1:15 AM, and we were like, "It's MVRT time!":p

well, my friend has his watch set so it goes off at 2:33pm....and gas is in the range of 2.33 here....but the coolest is passing by exit 233 on our way to atlanta championships each year, and every year we conspire to stop and steal that sign....lol

....I wish we had a 2-33 day..../sigh

The cheapest flight I could have had to Atlanta cost $571 (Paragon). (Any idea why I'm not going? ;) )

During lunch in the NYC regional my friend and I went to Subway to catch some lunch and our combined price including tax was $16.60. We were in shock! :)
