Re: Team Numbers in Everyday Places

That's really weird. I have been seeing random numbers everywhere, and I always associate them with FRC teams.

I was driving on the highway about two weeks ago, and I saw a sign for exit 217, and I was like "Thunder Chickens!" And my sister kind of just stared at me.

Yesterday, when watching "Angels and Demons" with 4 other robotics kids, Tom Hanks was looking for book number "503" in the Vatican archives. We all started laughing

One of the school buses that goes to Norview is 339. Every time I see it I think, "I wish OUR team had a bus..."

I was driving down the Long Island Expressway the other day and saw Interstate-67 and County Road-111 right next to each other. If I can get a picture sometime I'll post it. :P

A picture would be very interesting, since there is no Interstate 67, and if there were one, it wouldn't be on Long Island.

I realized my home thermostat settings are
HuskieBrigade during the day (65)
HOT during the evening (67)

and the AC is set to turn on when it reaches the RoboRaiders (75)

(apologies to my Canadian friends... I was told there'd be no math involved)

((we're slowly moving to metric... once inch at a time))

I'm not sure if it counts as "everyday", but it is a unit of measure: a smoot is 67 inches.

It seems every time i look at a clock it is either 2:17 or 11:14, oddly enough i don't see it say 16:25 very often:rolleyes:.

There's always 24-hour time! 16:25 would be 4:25pm.

I wish a clock would read 11:89...I'll have to build a clock that uses the 90-minute hour.

I always check my receipts for team numbers. I see 67 quite a bit.

And finally, it always makes my day to see gas prices at 1.189 (though seeing gas prices that low nowadays is a sure sign of the apocalypse!)

Re: Team Numbers in Everyday Places

Me and one of my teammates were in history class and I looked at my phone to check the time and it was 1:34. I gave the teammate my phone and said look at the time! He grabbed the phone, it slipped on his desk and fell on the floor really loudly. The teacher gave us a nasty look and went back to talking. lol.

Also, in chemistry class we were graphing and for the x-axis, our teacher used the numbers 1, 3, and 4. I was like Go Robotics! Everyone just stared at me like I was crazy. Some people just dont get it. *sigh*
