Let's just put it this way... every time I see a 102 somewhere, I get the oddest looks from people... and then they just walk away and shake their head. My favorite was going to dinner with team members, we all gave money for dinner, and the cash total was $102 and we had no idea it was that til I counted lol.

I get off the bus after school at about 4:15ish on days when I'm not staying after for robotics... And for some reason, I always look to see what time it is *for the first time that afternoon* at 4:22.

Once, when the electricity had gone out when I was not at home, so it was the middle of the evening when I went upstairs to the alarm clock that had lost power exactly 4 hours and 22 minutes previous.

Sometimes clocks are creepy.

Today at Bob's Big Boy, our check number was 1070. Then, just outside in the parking lot, the first car I saw had number 599 as part of the license plate.

I also notice our opponent numbers: like the other day I was taking an Algebra II test when I noticed that I got solutions of 5, 4, and 5. Making me think of our Long Island alliance partners!

We get to see 108 printed in huge letters at almost every stadium that we go to , for 108 is most likely always the title for Level 1, Section 8. At the Florida Regional, we always sit there...it's like our permanent spot. When we were in Las Vegas a few weeks ago, the bus that ran along the street across from our hotel was Route 108, and even more recently, on our flight back from Atlanta, the flight after us was flight 108, so it was displayed largely at baggage claim. Besides all of that, a lot of us cheer a little bit on the inside when its 1:08am.

We have a neat row of shops along South Congress here in Austin that have brought back the lost art of window dressing - turning their window displays into clever artistic statements. There is a shop almost at the bottom of the hill, at the end of row that is called Pink with 3 large pink bubbles as part of the lit sign.

I came back from Atlanta on Sunday, thinking about how cool Pink had been the whole weekend - how well the team conducted themselves on and off the field and I remembered their competition at UCF earlier in the season as well. On Monday morning as I passed by the Pink shop, they still had the sign lit up with the pink bubbles glowing and I couldn't help but smile and think Pink.

It isn't a number but it's close.

Well for one we tend to state that it is 9:10. Which is also the time we normally leave during build season.

My locker number at school is 330

and sometime over the summer in 07 we were returning bottles and as a joke I hit print recepit at $9.10 then continued to put my bottles in and ran out when it was at $3.30.

And for the RPGer's out there. I was playing Final Fantasy III and at one point got 111 dmg and killed the enemy, got 910 dmg and killed the enemy, and got 1114 dmg and killed the enemy. (at various parts of the game of course)

For those that haven't noticed I'm a fan of 1024 Kil a Bytes...
What a shock it was when I noticed my company truck assigned to me was #1024

And of course, I was happily excited (my friends less excited) to find that for STAR testing, 2nd period ended at 11:14, 5th began at 1:14 (Eagle Strike) and 6th ended at 2:33. And of course, I now refer to times as Wildhats (1:00), Eagle Strike (1:14), MVRT (1:15), Epsilon Delta (1:16), Robowranglers (1:48), Thunderchickens (2:17), Pink (2:33), Beachbots (3:30), Athenian (8:52), Kil-A-Bytes (10:24), Simbotics (11:14) and so forth. I've left out all the rest not because I don't love you all, but because I do need to finish the homework that I'm supposed to be doing instead of reading and posting on Chief Delphi. I love you, Chief Delphi! And everyone here! And thus goes my obsession with FIRST. :)

We see our team number everywhere, especially on the weather, its is normally the high every weekend between the beg of march and mid april.
Another funny one is during pre-season our lead programmer was teaching labview to the freshmen and he made a program to find the lcd of his cell phone number and it was 79.

Right before Atlanta when we were eating lunch as a team our lead driver got receipt number 201, and the day before his meal cost $2.01!!!

Also our record was 11-14 right before Atlanta also...
