Its getting close, A month from now there will be a blast in Downtown Ft. Lauderdale. Every single person who will be there in downtown those two days (july 8th and 9th) will know what FIRST is.

I second what Drew said.... I've been watching you, Arefin through all of this...it keeps you up so many hours when I wish you were sleeping so you won't get sick or anything. But you keep on going...it's your dream sweetie and it's coming true. I'm soo proud of you and thanks for doing such a great job.

Someone posted this on the S.P.A.M. Forums. http://www.spamrobotics.com/forums/i...opic=213&st=30 That last post in that thread mentions Tropical Storm Dennis. It is somewhat headed towards Ft. Lauderdale and one of our team members plans to cancel because of it. Will anything be cancelled, such as the event on the beach?

Alright here is the update, Doesn't look like that the storm will get here before Sunday night. Yes, we may have rain but we are inside the museum, under the roof. The Mayhem is on.

... Now that I am thinking, the teams at the Mayhem will show off exactly how the Florida teams play, Through storms, with all the energy and spirt. :)

That tropical storm warning line is a little close. I think I'll bring something to cover our robot, in case we have to carry it in the rain. lol Is the drop off area covered? Also, if the beach party has to be canceled, is there an indoor, backup location?

I took a little peek around the area that we're going to be in just before they started to set up the field. It's a covered outside area just outside the museum. There is a bus loop (uncovered) by the field, which is open on a first-come, first-serve basis (as I read in one of the many emails that my team's gotten in the past 24 hrs).

Mayhem begins today in 4 hours. I hope we won't be under any hurricane watch. I just checked the hurricane Dennis's path, doesn't look like it is going to hit us. The most we might get is some rain. Fellow Cders, Please pray that the hurricane Dennis won't get here, so we can run this offseason smoothly. Thank you. Time to head out...
