Are there any top-level volunteer positions available like field announcer or MC or are those reserved/taken?

I do not know for sure. But the last couple years Paul Copioli and Dan Green have been in those positions. With the occasional fill-ins during the day.

They are already taken and not available. Sorry.

I am wondering if it is possible to make name tags similar to the Boilermaker Regional name tags. That was an awesome way to meet people. Or could we ask people to bring their own? Just an idea I thought would be pretty cool...

They had name tags in 2003 and last year. For volunteers at least.
I only remember because Andy Baker had to print me up one after my last minute decision to attend IRI.

Well, since basically all the IN teams are attending IRI, and they all attended Boilermaker, if they are reading this then perhaps they can bring theirs from the Boilermaker Regional. And, there are several other teams going to IRI that attended Boilermaker that could bring theirs also. That would help reduce the cost, time, and coordination needed for IRI nametags.... Probably at least half the teams going to IRI have Boilermaker tags.

Otherwise, maybe they can have all new IRI souvenirs.. like you suggested... :)

When will the people, who volunteered, be notified that they have been accepted?

We will let volunteers know by June 20 about assigned positions.
