That alarm clock that moves around when it goes off. That was odd but still somewhat usefull.

Most ever so definitly...I'd have to say those shoes in the 70s that had fish in them. Definitly. I really want one of those.

Does the Segway count? I mean, it's pretty obscure (outside of FIRST competition venues), and it's definitely an advance.
