Google Web Accelerator

Can't surf fast enough? Chief Delphi a little slow? :D Try this? http://webaccelerator.google.com/

Newest tool from the Google labs. It seems to make a difference in Firefox and IE. For broadband only. If you don't mind that Google knows EVERYTHING about you, give it a try.
FYI Google already knows everything about you....:ahh:

Google is now officially monopolizing the internet... And I'm loving every second of it. GO GOOGLE!

Am I the only one that finds it ironic that it's taking foreeever to load the page?

EDIT: Finally got it to load, downloaded it and it seems to be working.

You can add some sites to a block list, and it won't cache them. When the icon in your taskbar loads, right click on it and hit preferences. I'm thinking we should start a public list. To start it off:

paypal.com
chiefdelphi.com

Well... supposedly I saved 1.8 seconds when I viewed this thread after installing the accellerator. I don't know if that's true, because I've rarely seen CD take that long.

But I'll try it for a bit. :)

I've read around, and apparently Google's Web Accelerator is not secure at all. Apparently, if people know what they're doing, they can view all your pages you have visitied using it because Google captures a catched version of your pages on their servers. Or something along those lines.

Anyways, I'm uninstalling it.

At first, I was open to this, and I tried it out, and it saved me thirteen minutes. Then, it started blocking all google related sites. It was quickly uninstalled.

Ehh, I suppose it oculd work well on some systems, but the speed up has been marginal at best for me. Oh well.
