The answer to 1282 makes it obvious that FIRST has a different definition of portable computing device then Dane B. and Matt Krass. If people want FIRST to make their definition more clear from the beginning, they should bring it up at the team forums.

The rules for the OI have varied wildly over the years. One year, you could pretty much do whatever you want, as long as it didn't contain a USB joystick.
