Offseason Replays
 

Have there ever been any offseason events that replay a game from the past? If so, what was it? If not, what game would you like to replay the most from any in the past. I'd like to do both Stack Attack and FIRST Frenzy.

Also, if this turns out to be a good idea, maybe someone can/will organize an offseason to replay one of these if enough of us still have our old robots.

I can't think of any, but I'd like to replay FIRST Frenzy, or Zone Zeal. But, deffinitly not Stack Attack, I wouldn't want to these that massacar again. Some of the older games might be nice too though.

At Battlecry @ WPI last year they re-created the 1992 game and played a few rounds.

wow i would much rather play stack attack again then zone zeal, with all the new transmissions and aggressive bots zone zeal would be much more of a massacre.

if i were going to play stack attack again the KOH would only be worth 25pts instead of 50

I'd love to see the 1999 game (Double Trouble) again. Floppies, the Puck, 8' high baskets, and Multipliers! Can't get much better than that.

Let's play 2001 again! Multipliers galor! I mean who doesnt love a game you can score 700 points in and end the match in less than 15 seconds? :p
Pity our 2001 bot doesnt have its arm any more and the drive motors are starting to die.

I beleive that 1997's game could be replayed by this year's robots with little to no modifications. It would also be interesting to play it out with the major rule changes since then, mainly no detachements and no intentional tipping.

It also retains the tic-tac-toe element ;)

I can't think of any game I'd rather see less :p

I'd like to see 2002, or 1999.

Has anyone thought about this any more? How many teams still have robots going back to maybe 2002? I think a Zone Zeal replay would be fun.

I believe many bots could be modified to play this game..... sorry to all you ball collector fanatics out there.. your mod wouldn't be easy :p

If we were to run a re-season with the bots from that season... my vote goes to 03. I love stack attack.

Hmm well for sake of allowing more teams to play I would say 2002 becuase most bots can be made to play that game easily.
