So its over a month away... We can still establish whose gonna play and the draft order. Since there is generally 42 teams (lots of backups) we'll run a 14 person league.

Okay well we all know about the violent nature of an offseason competition. To attend BC6 you must have paid the entrance by May 27. If you haven't paid by then your gone, and a backup moves in, so hopefully we'll be able to start drafting Saturday the 28th at 5pm and have a very relaxing time drafting(so no one gets a random team). 13 spots remaining.

When the tactical update comes out with the awards I'll set up the point system (very similar to the Championship FF scoring system)

Would anyone be against an AIM draft on the 28th? In my experience they go a lot quicker, and simulate the whole "live draft" idea better.

Okay folks. We have to draft after the 27th becuase I want to avoid the whole dropping out issue. I've never drafted on AIM but it sounds pretty fun. Anyone against that? As for when since we all have problems with most of the earlier times how about starting at 4pm on Friday the 10th of June?

Concerning the AIM draft, I started an AIM chat room for the UTC FF draft. I worked out well for the people that were in it. If you can get enough people there, then the draft goes much faster.
I have seen most, if not all, of the people signed up on AIM at one time or another so an AIM chat room may work well.

I don't have a preferance, but I am at school until 4 pm pacific so I would not be able to go on AIM before that time. However, I am always on CD during snack and lunch breaks. I guess I should make a list.

A few changes according to the WPI site that will not work with the previous scoring system. There are 14 alliance captains, with all but seeds 1 & 2 participating in eighth-finals, and after that everything is normal in the eliminations. Another problem is the draft pick points. The alliance selection will be regular for all 14 captains the first round, then randomly selected in the second round. So I guess it would make more sense to do:

or some variation of the above, with no points for second-round picks because they are random.

I would say those awards are probably worth a little too much. In addition, I would reccoment either changing losses or ties to be zero points (not both, just one).

Okay I said we would draft tonight and draft tonight we will. Feel free to draft your picks on CD or join the battlecrydraft chatroom (If you can't invite yourself AIM me for an invite). Drafting starts at 4 and you have as long as you need and hopefully we'll be done by the end of the weekend. Feel free to pick an unconfirmed team and if they drop out you'll get the team that replaces them (if several teams are replaced at once replacing will be done at random). This does kind of throw of the draft a bit but it does put everyone at the same disadvantage.

In order to finish on time if we are not done drafting by Wednesday their will be a draft clock of 20 minutes per person starting at 5pm and going until 10pm. I'm really not a big fan of assigning random teams so please be around or give me a draft list.

Honestly, I don't know. I searched for every team and they were a team that at some point in time was deleted of the list without being picked.

[edit] looks like i forgot them when I made the original list. I feel like a total idiot...

[another edit] I know it was my error and I feel very not smart, but I think 176 stays with Steve. I made a mistake, and when I found it I distributed the last three teams randomly and Steve got lucky. If he wants to give them away to you or trade with your becuase he feels its right, I have absolutely no problem with it.

Since I received 176 out of pure luck, Alex and I have agreed to switch. I will be taking 246 instead. (I have no idea which team actually did better but this switch is being made with only good intentions)

Cory, I would normally agree with you, but these are special circumstances (for the record 176 did much better than 246).

I don't believe either of them won. From what it looks like now DanielBCR won, however with awards it could be someone else.

I'm over half done with scoring but due to me being half asleep when I did it, I should probably start over (I also don't have awards... Help anyone?).

What special circumstances? As far as I read, you randomly assigned all remaining teams, and Steve got 176. Alex wanted 176, but they weren't on the list when he picked.They had three days to make the trade.

So my question is, why couldn't the trade have been made before the event, and not now? They didn't have a lack of time.

If you're playing fantasy football, and your QB throws 5 interceptions, and leaves you with negative points, you can't go and put in your other QB after the fact. That would be what I'd liken this trade to.
