Team 836 had all of the paperwork (and money) ready to send in, but the members of the schoolboard have a problem with Capital Clash being in DC, and are making us wait to register. Has any other team had this problem?

Policy on robot modifications for the Capital Clash:

We know there are probably dozens of modifications you want to make to your robots. In the spirit of fair play, we ask that for this competition, you keep within the limits set by FIRST for overall size, as well as the use of motors, batteries, electronics, controls, and pneumatics. We will allow you to add up to 5 lbs. of additional weight (125 lbs. overall without batteries in any playing configuration). This should give you the opportunity to brace or reinforce vulnerable parts.

The registrations are slowing coming in. In addition to the ones listed a few threads above, I've heard from 14 other teams saying they are interested. I'm traveling right now, so don't have access to the ones that have arrived in the past week, (I think there are at least 3).
I'll update the list next week, along with a list of the key volunteers. We are still looking for a volunteer DJ.

Got home tonight from a little vacation time. Dee tells me there has been a flurry of registrations. I will try to update the teams registered tomorrow.
We have a terrific lineup of experienced refs and are doing well on the volunteer front. Al, I'll let you know if we need more as the time gets closer. Still looking for a volunteer DJ...
