Halo 2.5 Tournies at the regionals, anyone?

And by the time that comes out, computers will be significantly more powerful.

I don't think a console system will ever be the equal of a top of the line computer.

I prefer the mouse and keyboard combination for many games, such as FPS. It's completely not intuitive for me to use a gamepad.

Doom 3
Rome Total War
The Sims (2)

and a bunch more that anyone can make

I would like to see anybody play a FPS on a console against someone playing on a computer. FPS is my game of choice and there is no way a console will ever satisfy my need for fast paced, responsive shooting.

I think it will look/run better on the 360, but will obviously be lacking on the xbox.

I think a mouse is harder to use than a gamepad, but that's just my opinion. ;)

I guess you've never played Halo, or Halo 2? What about The World is Not Enough, it wasn't 'amazing' but it certainly was good. :)

And for the record I think Perfect Dark was really, really bad.

Are there any games that are pc and console online at same time yet?

Number one Halo for PC was absolutely horrible. Number two Half life 2 is coming out for xbox 360. Third just modify the xbox 360 if it goes out of date. Simple if you know what you are doing. :)

I personally like Console Better. I am more of a sports person and well, madden on computer cant touch Madden on PS2. And even then, XBOX are moddable. My friend has lik a 120 GB hard drive on there but he can't play on XBOX live with that but he can still do XP connect.

He has it where he can just copy his games onto his hard drive and we always put DVD's on there to watch wherever we go. Even though I am not a big fan of Halo, 8 v 8 is always fun with all the chaos going on and the random screaming.

Im wondering what the differences between Madden on the PC, and on PS2 are? (I've never played on PS2) but I play Madden on my computer all the time, and as long as you have a gamepad, I imagine it's every bit the equal of any console version, but with better graphics.

Search for a download of the E3 trailer of KILLZONE for the PS3... The graphics, physics, and mind-blowing detail rendering in REALTIME is enough for me to want to get a PS3. It makes XBOX360 graphics look like a joke and certainly rivals the visuals of movies like Final Fantasy.

I'm still sticking with consoles for games.

And about current videos from the xbox360:

http://news.teamxbox.com/xbox/8296/Xbox-360-More-Power/

Quote:

Of the recent Xbox 360 gameplay footage we’ve seen so far, the one major concern has been that of the sometime sluggish framerate. In a recent discussion with a number of Microsoft executives, we managed to learn that all current Xbox 360 games that were shown at last night’s E3 press briefing are still running on alpha development kits that are not a true representation of what we can expect when the console launches this holiday season. Estimations are that the current kits are running at only 25-40% of the maximum power that the Xbox 360 will possess. Beta kits are scheduled to hit developers within the next 2 months and final hardware should arrive in early July.

I think it will not. From the stats I've seen about the Xbox 360, its graphics are still outclassed by PC components. My almost 2 year old Radeon 9800 pro 128 mb(overclocked) can still put out 75% of the power as the xbox 360(when not overclocked). Now video cards are near twice if not nearing 3 times as good as mine(which makes me sad) which is more then enough to outclass an Xbox 360. The graphics capable on the Xbox 360 are no where near as "cutting edge" as if they had appeared on a computer screen. A game available on both will always look better on a capable computer.

1. Its because to be a good pc shooter, there is a much higher standard that you must achieve. Halo was just too slow for my tastes so I stayed with my favorite, UT2004. 2. Half life 2 will be no where near the same as it was for the pc. 3. Now who's to say microsoft will be friendly to people that try to modify their product. Maybe they will sell modifications themselves at outrageous prices(sounds like windows).
