I am currently working at the shop that I have been working at for the past two years. But unless work picks up, I may be looking for another job. I have been asked to leave early two days this past week because there was no work to be done. But since they still pay me by the hour instead of flat-rate, I made more than any of the other technicians any given day this week.

I did notice that a custom bike shop recently opened up in Herndon and I think I may pay them a visit to see if they are looking for or would like some help. :cool:

taking classes @ the University of South Florida to make up for my lack of credits taken during the spring semester (thx FIRST)

Workin at the local airport (3B2) Marshfield Municipal as a line guy. Line guys do everything, but primary job is refueling aircraft.

I'm working at ABB again this summer. I have an internship in the Robot Products Group at ABB in Auburn Hills, MI. It's the same thing I did last summer, which means I get paid to work with robots. ;)

I will be working at Kimberly-Clark for the summer (and fall) as an mechanical engineering intern/co-op. This will be my second time working for them as a co-op.

I manage Condo's and Townhomes with McGill Management during the day.
I will be going to Columbia College of Chicago to study film from when I get off of work until 5:30pm. Then... I will then be doing my RMHS summer School classwork. I also coach an American Youth Cheerleading Squad for Rolling Meadows, IL, on the weekends. Right now I am planning the WildStang picnic, and I also baby-sit in the late evenings
The only thing left is time for sleep and food... And of course IRI!!!!

ill be at hockey haus where its all hockey all the time lol im a salesperson there its fun, but not related to robotics in anyway cept the sponser the team.

Well, I guess it's a summer job until it turns to fall and I continue working there. :P I recently got hired by Forex Capital Markets (it's like the 105th fastest growing company in the US) as a developer. It's in a building adjacent to a street parallel to Wall Street. Totally loving it so far as it's my first real, full-time job.

Guys, I'm going to be busy like hell. I'll be working on the Discovery Stations at Air and Space Science Musuem down in Chantilly, VA. On the same end, i'll be working at the IAD (Washington International Airport) as an Engineering Assistant. I'm also trying to keep my third part-time job at Kohls too. So, in short words, i'm planning to earn big $bucks$ for college.

Summer to do list...

1. Attend Reisweber's bachelor party (other teacher on our team) for FOUR days!
2. Participate in Appleton's Flag Day Parade with the team and my family.
3. Attend Reisweber's wedding at the Belagio in Las Vegas.
4. Camp with the family.
5. Play at the park with the family.
6. Go to the zoo with the family.
7. Paint the house with the family.
8. Teach a one week summer girls engineering camp at our school.
9. Attend IRI wiih the family.
10. camp some more with the family.
11. Go sailing with the family.
12. Have lots of campfires in the back yard.\
13. Host our teams summer team party at our house.
14. Relax.
15. Unwind.
16. Cajole.
17. Enjoy life.
18. In August I'll get back to work.

Some say the three best things about teaching are June, July, and August. For me the three best things about teaching are students, colleagues and FIRST! It's all about people!

Well lets see Since Feb. 2003 I have been working at a local Skating rink in Mt. Morris, MICH. called Skateland Arena (www.skatelandarena.com). Its alot of fun, you get to yell at bad kids when they don't listen. The thing i do most there is run Laser Storm ( www.skatelandarena.com/lstorm.asp ) The best part about Laser Storm is the fog machine and effect (strobe) lights, o ya and the blacklights. Sometimes i be havin brain farts and forget that the fog machine is runnin, every time that happins it gets so foggy in thier you can not see 2 feet in front of you. one of my managers thinks it funny, but the other 2 hates it (i have 4 managers). The funny thing about workin at a skating rink is funny hours, one week you might have over 30hrs, a week later you might only have 15hrs. and thats basicly it.

If anyone knows a place in Palmdale, CA, i would love to know... I need to get a car, and i have no job!!!1! :( plus, no one is hiring a 16 year old with no experience.

Im now officially back to having the only summer job ive ever held...Regal Cinemas...and well of course FIRST Place..but thats volunteering... I just recently had to leave my 2nd job.

i worked at Kohls this past year...it was crazy in there and i didnt get along with the manager above me...so i had to leave. Three Jobs is crazy though no matter how much i ended up with it wasnt worth losing my social life...

My son asked one of the team mentors for leads on summer jobs. Thanks Lockheed Martin! He is going to be working with this mentor.

It never hurts to ask, especially with the skills you are learning in FIRST.
