Download code from robot

Is it possible to download the code from the robot? We lost the original code and don't want to start from scratch.

Thanks

There is a program that enables you to download from the Robot controller. We had to use it on our robot from last year due to a computer problem. It is still a beta version but it worked fine for us I have a copy at school i can send you on monday if nobody else has a compy,

Yes the program is on IFI's website under the Robot controller section.
One of the problems with this is that you can not actually read the code (at least that I know of) you can only have a copy to redownload in to your robot , not to modify.

That's because you download the hex file, which is the machine language basically.

Good luck!

If you're feeling ambitious, once you have the file back on your computer you can disassemble it using a program similar to this one

Just remember that once you disassemble it, it's in Assembly and a little bit harder to read. Chances are, most of it won't be very useful to you unless you are familiar with PIC18 ASM.
