Most of these songs I have, here in a few after I take a little break from working I'll go through and get the ones I don't and then post when I've got them all.

If you've listed a specific song so far in this thread I have it. I also have some songs from the people who just listed band names.

EDIT: Here is an excel file with all the songs I have. This doesn't include songs from the Bizzaro Music List Thread.

MAybe we should change the name to

I.M.I. (Indiana Music Invitational) or maybe "FIRST-stock".

We could just forget about the robots. This would make an awesome 2 day concert.

Re: 2005 IRI Music List

According to the people in charge, I suppose this would all be "rubbish" but what would a FIRST event be without songs like:

50 cent - Candy Shop (cleaned of course)
50 cent - Disco Inferno (cleaned of course)
Oceanlab - Satellite
3 Doors Down - Kryptonite
Train - Drops of Jupiter
Black Eyed Peas - Let's get it started
Rocky Theme Song Eye of the Tiger (I have a really good version imho if you want it)
Beyonce ft. JayZ - Crazy In Love

U2 - Beautiful Day
Evanescence - Bring me to life
Greenday - American Idiot
Yellowcard - Ocean Avenue
Usher - Yeah
Smashmouth - All Star
Switchfoot - Meant to Live

I noticed you've got Lasgo - Alone on the list. Sweeet!

Excuse me, young lady, but if you had carefully read all of our prior posts, you would have noticed that not only do we know Skynyrd, Floyd, Queen, etc. but we included them in our lists. e.g.

Besides, rather than just repeat my suggestions from last year, I am including all of them by reference and just providing the additions to the list in this thread. But while we are on the subject, we should reference your post in that other thread, and discuss the suggestion of "Dixie Chicken." While the song in subject is noteworthy indeed, the version you cited - a knockoff by some sissified hack in a cowboy hat - is barely worth mentioning. The only version worthy of serious consideration is the original by Little Feat. Nonetheless, for a youngster you have made a valiant attempt at a credible list of rock (although placing "Pinball Wizard" right aftter "Cherry Pie" is something like putting a Picasso after a cigarette ad). :D

I tried to do the same, and only pick one song, but I felt the respective bands were way too great and had a hard time choosing.I'm sorry, sir, but if you think one song on a suggestion list constitutes really knowing them, I think you ought to sit in the corner with those LP's a little longer. :)

Wow, Lavery - I'm impressed with your musical selections. Especially "Wicker Man" - what a great song. I love that album (it sounded good in concert, too).

I don't think you can even begin to imagine the amount of music he has on his laptop... he even has music by *shudder* Britney Spears.

Good point. So a few more suggestions are in order:

Blue Oyster Cult: Burnin' For You, Godzilla, Subhuman
Queen: Killer Queen, Play the Game
Pink Floyd: Pigs (Three Different Ones), Welcome to the Machine
Rush: Freewill, Analog Kid, New World Man
Jethro Tull: Bungle in the Jungle, New Day Yesterday

And a few songs I haven't seen, but may have just not looked hard enough:

Kansas: Carry on Wayward Son, Point of No Return
Yes: Roundabout, I've Seen All Good People
David Bowie: Suffragette City, Moonage Daydream, Changes, Ashes to Ashes
Soft Cell: Tainted Love
Moody Blues: Voice, Gemini Dream
Cream: Crossroads, Sweet Wine

And I'm sure I could keep going, but I really should be back at work!

Heidi
