Alice's Restaurant is a GREAT song. And does it make me OLD if I know all the words to it? ;)

Here's a few more:
Sir Mix-A-Lot // Baby Got Back
Lustra // Scotty Doesn't Know (Eurotrip)
Styx // Mr. Roboto
Wham! // Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go
Tommy Tutone // 867-5309
Tim McGraw // Live Like You Were Dying

Baby Got Back -> just don't play the beginning
Lustra -> on the current CD in my car...though probably not appropriate...just listen to the words
[hatred for country music seeps from pores]
tim mcgraw -> i hope nobody shows me where the plug for the sound system is [/finished seeping]

i do love scotty doesn't know...but it's more of a 2-AM-bored-out-of-your-mind-don't-want-to-study-don't-want-neighbors-to-study-blare-throughout-tarkingon-hall than an "absolute value of script R" (there ya go andy) song...just my opinion

Oh, I agree with you about Scotty Doesn't Know, I'm not sure it's appropriate myself. But I'm sure TONS of people know it. After all, it IS a catchy tune. ;) I'll leave this one up to Clark.

Scotty doesn't know is kinda annoying, but I did get the techno song from the Club scene w/ the Absinthe booze......

Apollo 440 - Make My Dreams Come True

Go country! I recommend:

Who Wouldn't Wanna Be Me - Keith Urban
More Like Me - Trick Pony
Pour Me - Trick Pony
Carry On - Pat Green

Also,

Those Who Fight Further - The Black Mages

Re: 2005 IRI Bizarro Music List

Millionar - Der Prinzen
The Streak - Ray Stevens (Funniest Song Ever)
Girls Love Robots - Pollen
True - Spandau Ballet
Dixie Chicken - Garth Brooks
Smiling - Operation Ivy
Sussudio - Phil Collins
Jerry Was A Race Car Driver - Primus
All American Bad...arse - Mad Caddies

And one for Baker:
Cut the Mullet - Wesley Willis

In making random CD's for Atlanta's road trip, Ricky Quinones and I both put Rockapella's Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego. Also a good one.

Maybe DSATK* can create an IRI version ....

"you can get anything you want, at the IRI Restaurant"....

* Since I have severed my relationship with the band as their manager, someone else will need to ask them.

I can see why this thread has "bizarro" in the title. Where to begin?

Scott, obviously you are watching too much Disney Channel or listening to Disney Radio on XM. That song downright sucks. You should be ashamed of yourself. Now, if this is Taylor's request, then ignore my last 10 words and count me in as a Kim Possible fan. By the way, the Kim Possible theme (Call me, beep me! - Christina Millan) song is better.

Sara... IRI is a "no-Wham!-playing" event. We have magnets and scanners at the doors. If any musical media is brought to the event with any Wham! on it, said media will be immediately destroyed.

Also... there is no need to bring "Baby Got Back". Derek and Karthik from Niagra FIRST will be taking care of our Backs, as they need to redeem themselves from a poor showing on stage in Atlanta.

Styx, Tommy Tutone... those are good choices.

Chris and Dave... Arlo Guthrie? Sheesh, you are REALLY showing your age. Do you want Copioli saying "gimme an F!"? I think not. I am starting to re-think this "Lavery as DJ" idea. Maybe he needs to be assigned to be "pit announcer" or "nacho maker".

Fultz... from what I hear, the band is regretting their accusation of the missing million dollars. Eddie was confused about a song, and overly excited about the chance of seeing Bare Naked Ladies for real (he has not seen one in person, from what we know). So, they have told me to tell you that they are sorry for the accusation and they would like to park in your yard during the IRI again this year.

Enough,
Andy

Maybe a certain someone *wink wink nudge nudge* should also attempt to redeem themselves after a sub par performance of John Denver's Thank God I'm a Country Boy :D.

As long as there is no performance of 'I'm Too Sexy', I will be happy.

That was a little too much for me. :yikes:

We actually listened to that song in my German I and II classes. :ahh: Repeatedly.
Good choice though.

My suggestions:
A Laptop Like You - Jonathan Coulton
Of course anything by Overseer
Any song from homestarrunner.com (like the Strongbad Techno)
The techno verson of the Super Mario Brothers Theme
FIRST MegaMix 2004 - Kevin Kolodziej

At the request of DJ, I downloaded some game show theme tunes. I have The Price is Right, Family Fued, Wheel of Fortune, and that song from Jeopardy. If anyone has any other suggestions shoot 'em this way. :D
