How come no gals but yearbook have been responding to these posts?

No offense, but stop posting here with irrelevent stuff, and let THEM(gals) ask US(guys) questions:D Not much of a complementary thread for the other 250 reply one if girls don't ask guys questions.:(, or if we don't provide advice. I think they've been quite generous in listening, and providing tips. I suggest we guys to the same:D

hmmmm questions eh Ben? ... hmm... K, I know you guys are really into the chick asking, but the fact is, for all my flirtatiousness and outgoingness, when it comes down to it I am so so so shy! So my question to you is, if we really can't bring ourselves to ask... how do we get you to?
I know guys are really dumb and can't take a hint at all(believe me!!!!) but is there something that I can do that you will actually get???

Hmm...well, you could always strike up a conversation, and let it develop from that. The direct approach is good though, because it shows you're interested, and that you care.

Girls are at perhaps a distinct advantage, in that a direct approach is both uncommon, and impressive. Girls can use direct or unique approaches without embarrassment, since a failed attempt can be considered cute, and intentional.

Just go for it. Personally, just show that you have a charming personality, and then go for it. Finding someone special is an important part of life. Without one, (or at least, the hope of one in my case) I don't know how people survive!

Take the chance. Believe me, he's probably thinking the same thing, and is probably just as shy as you are. Guys may pretend to be macho, but really, a lot of us (well, at least me) are kittens hiding under the laundry when it comes to initiating a romance. And if she has a boyfriend or whatever, he’ll probably just let it drop, and talk about something else entirely.

This reminds me: I'm a post-a-holic, without an avatar or a photo! What do you gals think would b e a better avatar, a picture of an oak tree in a stained glass window, a picture of a meadow in twilight, or a picture of a hillside?

I'm kinda leaning towards the oak tree at this point: its a really neat picture, and I like nature stuff, such as long walks in the country, watching the sun setting, gazing up at a full moon, listening the waves lap against the seashore...

How about a photo of yourself...I like to know who I'm talking to....but the oak tree would be fine...

Bleh...I have like no confindence is asking guys out on dates...i've been turned down too many times... oh well...at least i try again with another guy after i regain it....

i agree with ben ... except that whole 'if he has a boyfriend' thing :) j/k! thought i'd poke a little fun at that typo, oh well :)

but yeah, me personally, you come up and talk to me and flirt with me, then i'll prolly get the hint. i say that now that it's never happened, i wonder what i'll say if it ever does, though :)

k, what I'm saying is.. I'm a HUGE flirt, like, I wear a chain that my best friend gave me with it written on it, it's my nick name, etc.... Well, anywayz, there was this whole thing with this one guy, and I majorly flirted around with him at his house one nite... I was so obvious about it, etc.. and then I mean, I kinda left it to him to make the next move I mean, how obvious do i have to be b4 a guy finally does something. I personally figure that after a while, I leave it in their hands, it's not fair that I have to do all the hard stuff, ya know?

Usually when something like that happens, AnnMarie, I'll just randomly put my head on his shoulder claiming *I'm tired*...they usually get the hint then....

i don't know, ann. for me, it's like 'maybe she wasn't flirting, maybe she was being nice.' i mean, us guys (or me at least) are taking a risk in going for it, it's not easy. that said, though, i'm at the point where i'm gonna go for it. if a girl starts flirting with me, i'm gonna ask her on a date or something, and if i was wrong, oh well. but then, that's just cause i've never had a girl yet, and i'm tired of being shy.
