Planning,Compromise,Being open to the ideas of others, Delegation, and Commitment
5. What was the most difficult part of being on a robotics team?
6. What was the most important part of being on a robotics team to you?
7. Do you think it is important that there be Robotics teams in the future? Why or Why not?
8. Besides financial aid what effects do sponsors have on robotics teams?
9. What makes a good mentor?

  • 1. Made me look at what's coming and strategize accordingly. It has made me more alert, intelligent, and better overall. Don't mean to brag, but its a really good feeling that I believe in very much and don't want to weaken.
  • 2. Tech skills for usage later in life may include critical thinking (definite), computer programming techniques, structures and planning (such as flow charts and psuedocode). Sorry, was that more than one? :D
  • 3. How to work fast without breaking anything or screwing up, working with others, communication skills (how to and how not to get a message from A to B in a noisy area  ), things of that nature.
  • 4. Commitment to your team AND a return for that commitment, whether it be the experience, an actual working team, etc.
Planning, or even better, create a strategy.
Be open to the ideas of others
Delegation initializes those ideas and their creators in order to make a team work.
Compromise in certain situations to loosen 'knots.'
  • 5. Getting used to the atmosphere and the lack of sleep due to the excessive amount of work at hand. (Homework and Robotics work)
  • 6. Getting the experience and learning what needs to be learned that will make me and my teammates better people.
  • 7. Honestly, I can't say, period.
  • 8. Sponsors help anchor a team in position to become more than a team. They also assist the team in other areas needing help.
  • 9. Good mentor = a good member of the team who teaches and works for the most part, but can also take a few notes from the students as well.
