18ft Robot

Was surfin the Internet when I came across this little article. Looks cool (almost like think pink's giant robot mascot, accept not pink, and a little bigger), and would be awesome to buy, accept for its $$$ (wish I had $40,000 to spend :D ).

So I guess $40,000 is enough for it, but $39,100 isn't.

Sounds like he's a bit greedy. Tryin' to milk every penny out of his creation.

And to top it all off, he raised the shipping price from $5,000 to $8,000.

Would you spend almost 50 grand on a robot that shoots flames?
I wouldn't

Whatever.

i thought about making something similar once even have drawings of a design (i really need to learn to draw) but after i looked up parts prices i went :ahh: i also didn't know what to control it with but after seeing whitebox success with using a PC to control robots i might try it when i get rich or get a job being payed to make one :D (when i get out of college i want to design and build military robots).

yeah would not be surprised to see those things in use in about 15 to 20 years from now.

Enter: The Mechs? As in Mech Warrior, and even from Metal Gear Solid the video games?

I'll guess maybe 20-30 years as a more likely estimate..
Only time will tell though.
