Re: Unnofficial FIRSTish get together this Friday @ 6 Flags New England!
I remember going to Six Flags New England and it was a FIRSTer get together. Wow, that was a long time ago. I had gone to Battlecry in 2001. Michael and I stayed at Patrick Dingle's place. All in all, it had been Patrick (on 630 at the time), Michael & I (271, I believe), Lora Knepper (don't remember her team), and Caitlin (126). It was a lot of fun and reading this post brought back those memories. I wish I could go...but I've relocated to San Diego, CA. Have fun and ride a roller coaster for me!

Oh noes! I am at the Frontiers program at WPI.
Sadly, I will not be able to partake in the festivities. |

Indiana Beach is an amusement park in Monticello, Indiana, and believe me, it is quite operational. The tiny park is crammed full of boardwalk fun and 5 coasters litterally stacked on top of one another. You should check it out sometime. The Six Flags boneyard used to be at a place called Old Indiana, just outside of Indianapolis. There were several coasters being held there until 2003. At the time, Six Flags sold the park to some guy that has turned it into a wildlife area for hunting. One coaster was rebuilt, two were saved, and the rest, including Black Widow, were scrapped. You can read all about Old Indiana here . I agree with Katie about moving the get together to Wisconsin...say Mt. Olympus Theme Park? 17 go-kart tracks and 5 coasters, including Hades =) And just for the record, Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana, is the best small park in America - free Pepsi products and soon to be three top 10 wooden coasters! I do want to visit Lake Compounce someday though... Kev |
