IRI in 2 days... w00t. I am very excited to travel wtih my best friend to go up north to see all my friends again.

Yeah, not only do I not hafta work, but I get to go to a robo competition without having to worry about the whereabouts of all of my kids! Yay!

No, I'm not...I figured I will just skip it this year...cancel my hotel reservations and not even think about it this year... :p

ARE YOU CRAZY!!! I am so pumped its not even funny. Sure, Myself and some other tkats still have to build our VEX bot but hey...it will be fun!

I would say a bit sleepy about it actually. A day off from work, seeing great FIRST competition, and my first trip to IRI since 2003, nah not even a thought in my head about this.

Put it this way, I put in a 16 hour day yesterday to ensure my ability to head down there, and boy am I ever ready to be there helping out!

The clock just does not move fast enough.....

Arm driver: from a national championship team (148)
Human player: from a national championship runner-up (180)

I think you guys should be trying to rig the matches, to be aligned with 1646 at IRI! :)

Hey guys -

We're going to have an informal CD gathering on Thursday between 6ish and 9ish PM at the high school after set-up. We'll be ordering pizza when the group is at its peak (maybe making a quick stop to the 7-11 nearby, as well), so feel free to stop by and have some snackage with us if you're bored at your hotel or what not.

I'm totaly pumped! I'm working furiously on a webpage so that it'll be ready for thursday. Hopefully this will help everyone who cant attend enjoy the competition as much as possible!

While this does appear to be impressive, let's look a tad closer:

Base driver from 71: If the base driver gets the least bit irked, she might throw a tool or deck somone.
Arm driver from 148: The last time this person drove a robot, the seat motor was the biggest in the kit. Also, this driver can only operate if there is a set of long horns on the front of the 'bot.
Human Player from 180: Since this mentor is used to operating underwater robots, he might be thinking that we are competing in a pool. Please, spare us from the speedos.

I really feel sorry for 1646's student coach.

Team 269 will be partying it up at the Hilton downtown all weekend! Er, at least until we leave on Saturday...
I'm quite excited, I hope I remember how to be a human player and how to make my hands move faster than my feet ;)

Come on how can you not be excited about IRI! I am so ready and will be even more ready after the 11 hour drive with Dave, Lil' Lavery, and Heidi (and others) :eek: I want to see my teams turnaround match with Dave, Heidi, and Eric!

I am very VERY excited for IRI!

I am looking forward to seeing my friends who I have not seen since Atlanta, as well as meeting new ones. But most of all, I cant wait to see my dad (thats right, my dad) and Mr. Lindsay drive the robot together in the turnaround match! Should be very entertaining...

I am leaving from Rockledge High School in 6 hours!!! W00t to driving with the pink team at 2:00 am! The only thing that will be keeping me awake is the excitement and pure adrenalin..... and singing along to Disco!

Well since I've been to every single IRI I figured I might as well not stop going. I'll be there Friday around 5pm till Saturday around 1pm....since i've gotta work Friday 9am-3pm and Saturday 2pm-10pm. At least I'll be around for the talent show to see the coolest band around, the Dean Simmons and the Kamens.
