False. Breathing is much more important.

I can hold all these limes.

Unless you happen to have a not so ripe lemon.

Robotics is fun.::safety::

Not if you're emo. Then fun would make you sad.

2+2=4

2+2=fish

This is a triumph.

it is definitely not a three-UMPH!

water can be in all forms of matter except for plasma.

Re: The "You are wrong" Game

False. Water can be in all forms of matter short of a BEC (Bose Einstein Condensate) and a quark-gluon plasma. It can be turned into a regular plasma.

Scientists know of six states of matter, not including energy.

Hypnotoad 04-02-2012 13:37

Re: The "You are wrong" Game

Wrong. There are no states in the US called Matter.

The moon exists.

genesisprobe 04-02-2012 13:44

Re: The "You are wrong" Game

1) WRONG! There is no such thing as a "moon." The "moon" is just a piece of rock that orbits the earth in an elliptical orbit that travels with tangential velocity to its orbit. Therefore, the "Moon" does not exist, but a hulk of rock exists.

2) The "moon" is just a term, not a real thing.

The earth orbits a star called Sol in an elliptical orbit with occasional perturbation.

Re: The "You are wrong" Game

Incorrect. The Earth orbits a star called Sol. Uncapitalized "earth" could be referring to dirt.

Cow milk comes from cows.

Re: The "You are wrong" Game

not nessessaraly, humans can create cow milk, thus producing our own cow milk. (dna manipulation... and one other way.)

an isosceles triangle will always have 2 congruent consecutive sides.

Hypnotoad 05-02-2012 10:07

Re: The "You are wrong" Game

Not true. An equilateral triangle is isosceles, but it has 3 congruent sides.

Glass is a liquid.

Re: The "You are wrong" Game

It is not only a liquid.

When a star dies, it can potentially die as a black hole, a supernova, or a supernova that compresses to become a black hole.

Rogue Leader 05-02-2012 16:40

Re: The "You are wrong" Game

A star can also die and go to star heaven.

This statement is false.

Re: The "You are wrong" Game

WRONG! The recursive statement has to be true to be false!

The atmosphere of Venus is much denser and hotter than that of Earth. The temperature at the surface is 740 K (467 °C, 872 °F), while the pressure is 93 bar. The Venusian atmosphere supports opaque clouds made of sulfuric acid, making optical Earth-based and orbital observation of the surface impossible. Information about the topography has been obtained exclusively by radar imaging. The main atmospheric gases are carbon dioxide and nitrogen. Other chemical compounds are present only in trace amounts.
The atmosphere is in a state of vigorous circulation and super-rotation. The whole atmosphere circles the planet in just four Earth days, much faster than the planet's sidereal day of 243 days. The winds supporting super-rotation blow as fast as 100 m/s (~220 mph or 360 km/h). Winds move at up to 60 times the speed of the planet's rotation, while Earth's fastest winds are only 10% to 20% rotation speed. On the other hand, the wind speed becomes increasingly slower as the elevation from the surface decreases, with the breeze barely reaching the speed of 10 km/h on the surface. Near the poles are anticyclonic structures called polar vortices. Each vortex is double-eyed and shows a characteristic S-shaped pattern of clouds.
