New game idea with a 70's twist
Seeing the water game theory "resurfacing" and the shifting thread triggered a funny thought. The old timers will know what I'm talking about. Remember before Playstation, Nintendo and Atari and the TV only got 4 stations and had a big dial on it to clunk through the UHF and VHF frequencies we had those board games. Then along came those really cool board games you could plug-in to the wall. You know those vibrating table football games you put all the guys out there for each team and flip that thumb wheel switch on the extension cord and watch in excitement while half your team fell over and the other half collected along the edges depending on the tilt of your floor. But sometimes your running back would get into an end zone! you could also substitute the original pieces with some little green army guys if needed.
Well that was a great time back in the 70's. Since this generation has missed out on this fantastic game, maybe this would be a great 2006 competition aspect. We could instead make all our bots vibrate around on the field and just see where they wind up after 2 minutes. It's certainly a "level playing field" concept. Lets see what those elite teams do with that! Somebody actually still makes those things |

Electrified field: YESSS!!! Let's do it, let's do it. Please, please, puulleeasszze? It'd be fun. It'd be a lot of fun. By the way, my family used to have one of those big clunker TVs with the hard knobs. It was great. Never died out on us for as long as we had it. Hooked up to it was an old Atari Computer system, NOT a console, but an actual computer. It was marvelous. I'm mad that my parents got rid of it to this day. |
