Re: Help us Update "Team in a Box"

Thank you for all of the kind words. We hope you use "Team in a Box" as one of the many tools you will need to make your team a success.

Reminder:

We are still hoping for a few teams that would like to contribute an unedited video of advice that we could edit for our disk or a few whitepapers we could include. (Perhaps a few Chairman's Level Teams like 67, 103, 175? c'mon guys?) For example we would make a chapter that was entitled: "Team ### speaks about Drive Train Design". We want to act as reporters for FIRST, because we are certainly not experts in many areas. Your contribution will get international distribution and will be fully credited to your team.
If you are an expert in a particular area, PLEASE HELP!

NOTE:
A few people have reported trouble opening certain chapters of the DVD. If you experience a problem, please contact me and we will replace it, if required.

Thanks again!!

Al

I noticed some difficulty until I realized you have to have the cursor over the white box next to the text in order to open a section. I expected to be able to click on the words to go to that section. The white box was not always visible until the cursor was in the correct place. "User Error" :)

Kathie:

That one is definitely causing some confusion. We will fix it ASAP!

The Chapter works but you have to be way to accurate with the cursor.

Thanks!

Someone told me that I shud enter something about the importance of chiefdelphi and reading threads. [I have made some insightful threads in the past few days.] I agree with the person that it would be good coming from a student [such as myself] saying what a good resource CD is and everything. Would you like me to do something like this? If so what?

Ashley:

Thanks for offering to contribute. We are hoping for more varied perspectives as we move forward with this project.

If you want to do something like that about CD, it would be great. If you think about this like you are a news reporter, you could interview key people and then add your comments. Our plan is to have individual people or teams make rough cut videos, so that we can edit them to fit our format. That way you don't have to worry about editing video, graphics or special effects.

It would be great to have several students and mentors speak about CD.
So if you wanted to talk about Chief Delphi you could collect your thoughts on tape and send it to us. It might even be a good idea to make a short outline and then have a few CD folks (maybe even Brandon?) review it for completeness before you make the actual rough cut.

Just some thoughts on how you might go about it.

Just let me know what you think. Thanks again!!

Al
